Even your president travelled and still travels abroad ![]() What is 500k? 6M per annum? What can 6m per annum achieve in Nigeria of today? If it was during the Jonathan/Yarudua era then it would make sense to stay. even with 500k savings per month you wont still be able to afford travelling abroad in the next 3 or 4 years. The world is too big to contain all of us. Travelling is part of life. Dont confine yourself in one space when you can explore and dominate. Indians, Chinese, Pakistan etc are all over the world dominating. Dont be deceived. Travelling abroad is good if you have a purpose and strategy. The naira is highly depreciated and a little savings abroad can mean alot of money in Nigeria. |

favor914:Sure i know, Even Tinubu once lived abroad ![]() Made his money and returned home to dominate ![]() He is still travelling though... The point is, relocating abroad isnt a bad decision even if you save 1m per month. A friend's brother left 9ja about 10 years ago. He was doing relatively ok in his business before relocating. He got into the health sector in the US. Today, his money na water. I am not sure he could have made such money if he was living in Nigeria without involving in some illegal shit. He has liberated his family for life out of poverty. The mum and dad visit the US as they wish. Just have a strategy and defined plan. |

Mindlog:If course, minimum wage to minimum wage, but the bills there too are paid for in pounds. It's good to have more Nigerians travel, for foreign payments to come in and boost our foreign exchange earnings, but what am saying is, we need some quality human resources here, to move this nation forward. People in business, with low bills, and good earnings in Nigeria are living a very good life. Yes the security situation is bad, this is the only challenge now. |

deanoffaculty:This comment showed that you have a specific definition of abroad. You have limited it to a place that is not peaceful. Just as we have trouble spots that you avoid in Nigeria, there are abroad that you can choose to avoid. You need to understand that some people are way more at peace abroad than in Nigeria. So this is purely a matter of personal preference. |

You are saying this because you are still living in dillusion thinking abroad is heaven, try come the abroad u will see the difference between social media and reality, you have only heard of depression come u will know how real it is over here just dey play. For the OP if you will listen, listen good with what you claimed to have already u have no business coming here, the same thing u have now is what i am working towards to have then i wiill be in Nigeria. Nigeria is not as bad as some people makes it seems, we are not living here we are surviving, Nigeria Africa is the best place to live quote me anywhere abroad is like a cult u dont tell people not to go in, but until u go in u will see the reality.quote author=Hhh4444 post=137099710]Even if I'm saving 2million monthly,I will still travel. When Nigeria happens to you, that money will not be able to save you.[/quote] |

My answer is Yes, as someone who grew up in naija, worked in naija before relocating. I value my piece of mind, it's not only about money. Whenever, I remembered the type of stress I went through in the city of Lagos, I can't imagine myself continuing with that type of life. You have car, you cannot drive it in peace, traffic one, people lacking driving education dragging road with you, and you will eventually park that car for one side. A lot of people behave as if they are crazy. Neighbor generator will not let you sleep till 12am, another holier than thou Neighbor will begin night vigil by that 12am disturbing your sleep when you are living in a considerable better environment mainland, as if that is not enough, another preacher will start his/her own by 5am beside your window till 7am why won't someone break down in those scenarios. The stress is just too much in that country, it's not only about money. We have only one life to live, and one should enjoy it. I've heard many saying abroad is boring, in abroad you can create your fun and make your self happy. |

EvilMerodack:He's the guy who could only save up to travel to Cyprus or something like that. I remember him, he was used to calling me and some other few guys out like a year or couple of years ago because we disagreed with him about politics. He wouldn't let us rest because of his "achievements" in his paradise like we are doing badly in Nigeria ![]() tensazangetsu20: |

Eniolohunda:I am in Lagos, i have structured myself and my life to ensure. I have peace of mind. If I was in the US and my kids were going to schools there, I will not have peace of mind, due to gun violence in schools and racism in society. To each is own |

TheGift:If you choose an area prone to violence in Nigeria or USA then you won't have peace of mind. USA is not your typical country, Texas alone is almost the size of Nigeria and most parts are as safe as the safest places anywhere in the world. That is just one of 50 states. |

dederocs:If I am to practice in Nigeria as a Child and Adolescent Mental Health Specialist, over 85% of Nigerian parents who would need my services for their children cannot afford my bill and working in a Nigerian public health facility which should make it cheaper for the parents, will be premium shege for me, with the peanuts paid to healthcare professionals in Nigeria. I am where my skills are appreciated and rewarded, while I offer pro bono services to some, back in Nigeria. |

mascot345:Even, if I am saving million everyday in Nigeria, Nothing will deter me from seeing the world. Have you not heard that don't dwell in your comfort zone for long, else you become complacent and outdated. I am absolutely sure if half of the country was not restricted geographically, am sure Nigeria will turn out differently and positively too cos mindset will be different and completely emancipation. Nobody can oppress any body. |
