I need inputs from current owners of Infiniti fx35 (first gen). I want to buy the car because of the love I have for it.

People are saying I should go for Honda Pilot or highlander.

Have a second-gen. Biggest issue with the car is its cooling system, too temperamental.

like they say always go for what you want, also you go try save the mechanic number for speed dial, also try dey keep guest room vacant cos he will be putting up with the family regularly

Avoid benz
Toyota
Kia
Hyndai
Ford
Bmw

Hug lexus,honda,subaru,acura,vw,Audi,etc.
But u see naija used Nissan. Models
Such as infiniti
Altima
Maxima
Fx 35
Fx 45.

No be say na mouth. Mechanic anywhere u use dat car take pass.e go talk bad of u.
One meko that year when I dey go him shop that year.he use bad mouth finish one man wey dey drive murano and fx..say the car clean .na toks but na useless car.

I don give you mechanic details.he said that the car is a good car. But na Abuja him dey operate from. Like you were told, arrange things for him to dey tow the car any time and I am available for the job. Lagos and Abuja

Buy the Honda Pilot. It's a more reliable vehicle and you'll get more Honda specialists to handle it.

Leave the FX alone unless you have low blood pressure and need something to spike it.

In my honest opinion and my experience about the brands the op is trying to choose from …..I’ve used all the 3 makes of them in the past and I will honestly suggest the highlander over the other two as he’s choosing from same gen/year.

Talking of locally used of the 3 brands….experience is always a very good teacher coz na one one tutor him be

Old highlighter is the most rugged and with edge on resale value

Old Honda pilot can only give leg pulling if you’re not conscious of maintenance and routine checks but the highlander can absorb those abuses of maintenance

As for the fx 35, I’ve used 3 of fx 35 and 1of Murano and all ended with transmission issues within a short while

Though I’m talking about LOCALLY USED ONES. here and can’t say much about its tokunbo peers.

Nissan makes Infiniti so you may likely get some similar faults from the two just like Toyota makes Lexus, Honda makes Acura, volks wagen owns Audi et cetera

Owned both a G35 and FX35 with the VQ35HR. Zero transmission issues.

There's one truth here,and that is, avoid naija used (simply because of the bad maintenance culture and over time effect of bad fuel cause that car requires premium fuel) and sadly, that is what op is considering. I believe it is a good ride, abroad, it has cult followings and massive community, however, one thing is common, they are mostly car enthusiasts.

Here, odds are stacked against you, from fake oils, fake parts, to fake fuel, and bad roads. Do your due diligence and see if it passes. Get what you want, forget about resale value, you are not a car dealer
