Udeh-Okoye, an ally of Governor Mbah was in a running battle with Samuel Anyanwu for the National Secretaryship of the PDP. The case culminated in a Supreme Court Judgement this year yielding to Party internal mechanisms which he lost out. Recall Gov Mbah (who defects tomorrow) had threatened earlier this year, that the Party will experience mass exodus from its South East chapter if Udeh-Okoye wasn't returned as National Secretary
The Ward Chairman
Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)
Agbogugu Ward
Awgu Local Government Area
Enugu State

13th October, 2025

Dear Ward Chairman,

LETTER OF RESIGNATION FROM THE PEOPLES DEMOCRATIC PARTY (PDP)

After deep reflection and careful consideration, I wish to formally tender my resignation as a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

This decision did not come lightly. The PDP hs been an integral part of my political journey.offering me the invaluable opportunity to contest and serve as a Member of Enugu State House of Assembly, the National Youth Leader of the party, and most recently, as the National Secretary. For these privileges of service and trust, I remain profoundly grateful to the party, its leaders, and members at all levels.

However., over time, I have watched with increasing concem as the ideals and vision of the founding fathers of the PDP, built on the principles of unity, justice, and equity, have been eroded. The PDP that once stood as a beacon of hope for democratic governance has regrettably lost its moral compass and ideological direction.

Afler much contemplation, I have come to the solemn conclusion that I can no longer, in good conscience, remain within a system that has strayed so far from its original purpose. Therefore, I am compelled to part ways with the PDP as I embark on a progressive journey dedicated to restoring the values of democracy, accountability, and service to the people, which the party has sadly abandoned.

I thank you, the ward executives, and all party members at all levels for your support, friendship and shared moments of service.

Rt. Hon. SKE Udeh-Okoye
Former National Secretary, PDP

Wike and his allies must be delighted now, seeing that their plans are unfolding just as they intended. It’s hard to understand how someone could live with themselves while actively contributing to the destruction of the very platform that gave them visibility and success in the first place.

By the 2027 the only people in the labourers camp will remain in the opposition party. PBAT is showing he's gbe first and most knowledgeable politician to ever rule this country.

Sometimes politics is hard to understand in Nigeria, Our minister of FCT is controlling both APC and PDP in his home state of Rivers, Peter Obi that's planning to contest the 2027 presidential election is in both Labour Party and ADC, though not sure the platform he's using for his ambition right now, as the ADC is firmly in the grip of Atiku while the Labour party is in disarray. Interesting times are ahead, we'll see how things play out in the build up to 2027

When he gets to the APC, Wike will be at the back.
Another reason the Governors are positioning already.

WIKE na senior man, if him decide to join APC today he will be given a presidential welcome and he will be placed above them all...
You think APC is the PDP?
If there is one mistake APC has learnt not to make is Party discipline. What makes him a senior man? Akpabio and AKS have left him alone.
Ibori and Okowa/Delta have left him alone.
Diri is joining on his own terms.
Edo and Oshio have been APC from time immemorial.
CRS left him long time ago.

So tell me what Wike can control? Nothing!
His only leverage is Rivers State has money to throw around, the reason he fought control from Fubara.... Take that out, politically, he is at Tinubu's mercy.

Because of Tinubu’s reputation of a bad ass rigger, who once in power does everything to retain it,many are right ,with the appointment of his junior brother as inec chair now, everything is set for a landslide or moonslide victory for the apc at all levels
In Nigeria heaven will not fall as leaders typically gets away with blue murder

In Nigeria, political parties are mere vehicles for the conveyance of your political ambition, when the vehicle is no longer fit for purpose, you simply change it......the moment you learn to desist from being too emotional about any politician, the better for you.

But this man was throwing punches at the PDP national headquarters in Abuja just 3 or 4 months ago as if it was PDP or nothing. A whole national secretary o.

And now, he's already moving to the APC huh

How do politicians explain this type of unreliable characteristic to their wife and children at home.

As a man, the one thing you worry about the most is being seen as lacking integrity by your wife, and children.

How do politicians explain their behaviour at home.

All these defections should cause serious concern for the citizens, but no. It is a cruise for us all.

This does not mean well for the future of Democracy.

If there is no opposition, those at the top will do what they like since nobody will question them, and the poor masses will suffer it.

Mind you, when the rich and the political class are at peace with each other in a country like Nigeria, our treasury will suffer!
