I am not a fan of buhari, tinubu, GEJ , obsanjo or Yaradua

I have been following ASUU strikes for over three decades, so I kind of know the issues behind he strikes

Not everything was an attack on GEJ or any leader. ASUU issues go back decades.

Good morning

ASUU wan go break as usual, you think Tinubu is Buhari. You will learn in hard way.
Tinubu is even more compassionate toward them than Buhari who withheld their salaries for going on strike and when Tinubu came on board paid at least half of the salaries withheld by Buhari's government.

Nobody can satisfy this association called ASUU, all they know best is to produce unproductive graduates into society.

I have never seen a government since inception of 4th Republic that ASUU don't go on prolong strike.

Could it be that this union bodies are being greedy or the government is not doing the right thing for them.
All they want is to collect the same salary as politician they are criticizing.

Don't they deserve it? What are those criminals doing to deserve the amount of money they get?

Stay on the subject matter if u must talk, is it compulsory?

McLizbae:
Nigerian government failing allrounder, even in keeping convicted criminals in the prison, where they rightfully belong.

Ignoramus! How is it that you can't connect the ongoing ASUU with a shameful failure in government, even at an expanded level that beg the question: where exactly is the government getting things right?

An indication that the FG is the one at fault. It's shocking how na agreement that was reached since 2009 is yet to be fulfilled. ASUU has been engaging the govt and public on this issue yet little or nothing has been done. As usual the public will join the railing against ASUU, many without knowing the the details of the industrial dispute. Many pople don't know how terrible the welfare of university workers has become, to an extent that top graduating students rarely aspire to become lecturers any more. The government has billions to give out in student loans but can't use same source to settle workers arrears.
You are very correct, I just remembered myself rejecting Lecturing auto employment when I graduated with first class. Nothing in lectures welfare is enticing.

The government needs to look into, and actually pay ( not promise) Academicians their allowances and increase their pay as well.

ASUU strike will end when government faces reality and raises fees to around 3-4 million naira annually

At the same time, government should also tax every taxable Nigerian half their income

Then government should formulate a plan to use our resources to make manufactured goods for export so that there be investment and jobs.

That's how saner climes get good education. And even there in saner climes , minimum wage earners cant afford university at all.
Even if they increase it to 5 million annually, that is when it start fully. Because people will prefer to either learn a skill , travel out of Nigeria, or do investment than using like 15 million for schooling and looking for 50k job afterwards
