Good evening Nairalanders,

Please my windshield washer fluid not spraying anymore, I have tested it before and it was working, just wanted to go out this morning and tried spraying it and it wasn't responding,

There was a time i changed horn control on the steering, but I can't remember if it before or after i tested the windshield washer..

Please can the horn control affects it?
Or what could be the cause?
I will be reading comments

The car is 2012 corolla

Confirm that the spray pump is working and the wiper fluid lines are properly connected. If it is, the likely culprit are blocked or damaged nozzles.

Na who no get car go dey type nonsense. It's blocked by dirt and grime or the lil hose following the bonet sides are punctured or spoilt. How nozzle go dey damaged. Shey na toy

The nozzles are not blocked because I inserted needle and it still doesn't spray

I dipped a stick inside the reservoir and there still water inside, or should I fill it to its brim?

Go to where the spray is. Take a pin or needle.clear the front of it maybe there is dirt blocking it

I have done that but it's still not spraying

Check yhe tiny hose thats usually under the bonet side or hidden ubder the foam of the bonnet.t might have disconnected or got damaged

But should be the level of the fluid? Should i fill up? Because it seems the water has gone down, abi the level of the water does not mean

Alaye there is a leak.my radiator water i never drive car 2months.e still full.my easher still full. There is a leak.e no supose empty.at all

Quite a simple system, if you’ve tried poking needle at the nozzles, I’d suggest to see that the motor works it should be located on the passenger side behind the sand protector ( basically integrated with the washer fluid reservoir beneath ) let someone actuate it from inside while you listen if the motor clicks outside

It was working before but noticed it didn't work yesterday,

Secondly, does low fluid causes the issue, because the fluid inside is not full

Lastly, I don't know if it's flood water i entered few days will affect the pump.

Horn has nothing to do with your washer . First Check if there's enough washer fluid.
If there's water and it's still not working ,then try to DIY with the following steps

Open the your bonnet,


Locate the main fuse box it’s on the driver’s side, near the battery and covered with a black plastic lid.


Remove the cover you’ll see a diagram on the underside showing fuse names and positions.


Look for a fuse labeled:

“WASH” (Washer)

or “WIP” / “WIPER” (often shared with washer pump)



On most 2012 Corolla models, it’s a 15A fuse labeled “WIPER” or “WASH”.




Fuse number: Usually Fuse #29 or #31 (depending on trim)

Amp rating: 15A (blue fuse)


If the fuse looks intact, but the washer still doesn’t work, also check:

The washer pump connector (beneath the washer reservoir)

The washer pump relay (sometimes integrated into the wiper control)

Ground connection near the pump

Ok, since it low it can be a probable cause and you should also have your washer fluid lamp indicator turned on, right on your cluster ( if that be the case ) . For the last part very possible. You can as well check related fuse to keep things simple first.
