Chairman of the Senate Committee on the South-East Development Commission, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, has reflected on his political journey within the All Progressives Congress (APC), recalling how he was ridiculed in 2016 for joining the then-opposition party in the South-East, which had no single governor or lawmaker from the region.

Speaking on TVC News’ Journalists’ Hangout anchored by Babajide Otitoju on Monday, Senator Kalu said he was the only political leader from the South-East who joined the APC at the time but remained consistent despite criticism and mockery.

“When I joined the APC in 2016, I was the only South-East leader in the party. People mocked me, called me names, and thought I was mad to have joined a party that had no governor or lawmaker from our region,” Kalu said.

“But I stood my ground and kept assuring the party leadership that it would be well. In 2019, I became the first senator elected on the APC platform from the South-East, and today, the story has changed — we now have APC governors, senators, and House members across the zone.”

That is the advantage winners have over losers.

The ability to use realistic data of the present to make future calculations and still factor in risk and probability’s.

I was also castigated and crucified for aligning with the party but few had the intelligence and foresight to interprete and decode my political move.

Then, I took time to study His Excellency, President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu (GCFR) growing political dynasty, and envisaged that, even if growth and reach was stunted by half, No way he still won’t have Nigeria in his palms.

I tabled down his strength and searched for weaknesses, which I was unable to find. I saw perfection and was quick to reach conclusion that he was the chosen one to lead Nigeria to greater heights.

Look at where we are today, it’s been wins after wins and bottle after bottle champagne campaign.

It translated to him having better political sight to see afar better than online political noise makers like you. Tinubu has conquered Igbo land political space. "Baba wey no well, Baba wey him hand dey shake, him leg dey shake don bribe Igbo governors to join evil party". We have been telling you long time ago, but you cared not to listen. Tinubu is conquering all while Obi can't even manage smallest party and you want him to govern Nigeria.

Tinubu one party "AD" when he was lonely governor in Lagos, then conquered entire south west having all "AD" governors without him changing his party unlike Obi that is partyless and looking for fertile political party to where he will not do primary before contesting. Now Tinubu has conquered Nigeria and south East. Baba una say he no well, him hand dey shake, him leg dey shake don hijack south east political arena while online noise makers of the east are now politically confused

Yes sir you are right. Even myself I laughed you because I hate this same apc then but I decided to support Tinubu because I realised atiku never want any president from the South go by his record and attitude towards Soutthern presidency.

On obi side he is a liar, creepy dangerous tribalist, a terrorist sympathiser, obedience Emperor who their best trade is to threaten people, mock people, bully people, intimidate people, disrespect elders across board yet want votes to become the president it will never happen now and never in the future. He lie over everything and he is an expansionist land grabber preacher.

So the only person left is Tinubu and he said he will scrap subsidy, float naira, destroyed quota structure, started a reform and I can see he is serious and his past record speak volume and he raised champions in all fields of life.

Tinubu till 2031. We must learn by force by fire.

His party has done for the SE what PDP couldn't do in 16years. The $3b eastern rail line is already approved, 2nd Niger bridge was built, SE Development Commission was established, Aba- Porthacourt railway was built. Several federal roads have been completed..

Tinubu engineered crisis in virtually all political crisis and celebrate when the politicians are decamping to find a vehicle to contest election thinking he has now become popular. Are the politicians who won under the LP that decamped also decamping with the voters that voted them in against the grain?

Pls make it make sense, how do people gain members aside from defections?.. Where's Atiku and Obi as we speak, are they still in PDP or APGA?. If they have defected & you celebrated their defections, why are you then wailing when others defected to their preferred party?
