20 years ago, my mother tried to force me into getting an abortion at 6 months pregnant.

She didn’t stop there, she nagged me until my son was 6 years old to give him up for adoption.
Told me over and over again how I ruined my life.

I was a senior in high school.
His father was incarcerated most of his life.
I had no real support system.
And instead of being lifted up, people like my own mother made the struggle even heavier.

But let me tell you something…
I THANK GOD I didn’t give in. 🙌🏽

Every tear, every sleepless night, every lonely moment, it all molded us.
It built us.

Against all odds… I raised a U.S. Marine. 🇺🇸

We don’t do weak. 💯💪🏽

did she finally raise him alone or with grandma still,
where did they live with him growing up (with grandma?).
Did she have to work and pay all her bills and his or grandma helped.
She never mentioned grandma threw her out.

As much as this story is inspirational the biggest mistake we make in life is photocopying our individual experience and pasting it on another generation of ours.

A woman is sensitive to her child or children (you) as much as you are to your own. Yours with her has passed move on and don't catapult it into your son's life to begin or continue generational hatred.

Whatever experience I had or have with my parents will will never resurface or get transmitted to my kids it's my experience with my parents and it's mine. I can only use the lessons to better experience my own kids will have with me and creat happier memories for them.

Na only am know who e won impress but the effect is that now their will be lil slippery drop of bad blood all over the family..the boy might carry it to his own family too..bad memories everywhere
