The Empty Billion-Throwing Syndrome Once again, we’re handed a glossy write-up full of grand numbers , “₦1 trillion,” “₦10 trillion inflows,” “$1 trillion economy by 2030” , yet not a single sentence grounds these figures in reality. What exactly is being mined? Gold, lithium, iron ore, or just political soundbites? Where is the breakdown of this ₦1 trillion allocation, exploration, production support, or mere administrative overhead? How much ore was extracted last year? How many metric tonnes are projected this year with this “boosted CAPEX”? Why is the government itself diving into mining, instead of auctioning blocks to credible private miners with proven track records? This is the same old “announce-and-forget” governance playbook, big numbers, vague goals, zero execution clarity. It reads more like a political press release than an investment plan. Until Nigeria starts publishing quantifiable outputs, actual mineral data, audited production growth, and private-sector participation frameworks , all these trillion-naira declarations remain what they are: a performance in economic whitewashing meant to bamboozle a weary public. |

But that Lagos is the envy of all other states oh. If he didn't do anything in Lagos, why are people from other places trooping into Lagos since his time as former Governor. Shouldn't that tell you, there is something those people see that make them gravitate towards Lagos both foreign and locals? Why Lagos? Why not any other state of the federation ? Abuja has been Capita since early 1990s, why not Abuja ? Wake up and key into the policy and find a niche for yourself in the present Nigeria so you won't be complaining in the next ten years when others are reaping. All man for himself oh, government will not bring money or food to your house but can make policy that will make business and investment thrives and only those that key in will chop l. surgical: |

Kushites:Why are YOU not seeing the impact of these revenue stories in the realisation of Tinubu’s dollar rate promise, just as his APC predecessor promised and failed in the same regard ![]() anonimi:>>> >>> Muhammadu Buhari, presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has promised to ensure that the naira would be equal to the dollar in value if voted into office. NAN reports that Buhari said this on Monday during the south-east presidential rally of the party at Dan Anyiam Stadium, Owerri. “It is sad that the value of the naira has dropped to more than N230 to one dollar. This does not speak well for the nation’s economy,” he said. He urged the people to vote for APC, noting that he would ensure that corruption was tackled headlong if elected. https://www.thecable.ng/ill-make-naira-equal-dollar-says-buhari/amp |

oluseyiforjesus:Just like the $84 billion subsidy savings that has failed to impact the exchange rate. Is that how Tinubu and his successor placeholders are looting money from 20 million Lagosians since 1999 when the state budget was less than N42 billion, unlike N3.4 trillion of today? Looting Lagosians instead of employing well paid workers to make water available for them. TimeManager:>>> >>> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g5v-F81hNTs TimeManager: |

Tinubu would be making a big mistake with steel. He should leave it to the free market to decide. There's a glut of steel in the global market, making it dirt cheap. Nigerian made steel won't be able to compete. Nigerian endusers would be forced to paying a premium for it. This will disadvantage endusers. One should not forget what the ban on cement importation did to the nation. |
