That platform is so toxic that I have to leave..
I just regret going on that platform tbh.
No matter how you dress pig, he will still behave like a pig. The fault is from the individual that brought you to the group.... I have been on sabbatical on this thread but I came out because I know you will rush here to post this nonsense.......

It’s currently 6:06 am now and my research has brought me to this thread but there are too many messages to filter out and so I’m asking this question, I’m thinking of starting bolt/uber on the side, mainly weekends as my full time job takes my weekdays, I have an inherited rav4 07 model that I’m thinking of using .
Now the thing is I hear e hailing isn’t as profitable part time than full time and I need something on the side that can complement my salary of 200k (which continues to shrink in spending power on the daily, I can’t even afford to drive to work )
As someone that doesn’t need to remit money to any other party since I own the car (technically) how profitable would be running uber bolt on the side (sat and Sunday) I’m thinking in a month I should be able to add 100k net to my monthly income, this would give me some breathing space at least

Is this achievable ?

Sorry guys, I was initially skeptical when omoapena messages me to join and took the risk. Too bad it didn't pay off. I apologize for my oversight.

2 days was all it took for him to decide the group was toxic . . . It's a new record grin but being who he is it isn't really a surprise cool

He will be here to continue his good works on this thread and help uplift it with others. I wish him the best.

Iz not about continuing. Uber is d best app. Ave often wondered y drivers don't use them. With Uber u make more driving with them than any other app. Their commission u won't even feel it cause u make much more. Just that their wahala is much like things u can get away with other apps u can't with Uber. Documents etc is hectic but once u r sorted and ready to drive with them, u must make it.

It's d best drivers app in my opinion. Just ignore d trips u don't like but once u accept a trip try consummate am.
Till you end trip and it shows 14k and their commission is 6k, your eyes go clear

Buy oil and engine flusher make they flush the engine first, e fit re correct. If your mechanic can take his time to work on it,it'll work
Using engine flusher will do no good as he already said the engine is already burning oil

Drivers, partners, and prospective members,

It was through this thread that I first got the information I needed to get my car and also met some wonderful people here. However, over time, the thread lost its original purpose and direction. Some of the active members went on sabbatical — myself included — because I honestly can’t remember the last time I checked this space.

I’ve found solace and peace of mind in a smaller, close-knit group where we share ideas and discuss challenges freely. We sometimes have differing opinions, but our conversations don’t turn into arguments. And to be clear, we’re not a cult group where anyone is forbidden from expressing their mind.

I’m only putting this message here to debunk some of the allegations raised on this thread. After this, I’ll be going back to my ghost mode and sabbatical.

very achievable bro you will even make more than your salary before the month end just from driving weekend. That's how I started out too. Before I finally decided to resign and face the hustle squarely

Lol i don't know where ure staying, but if I have a rav4 4plug, with where I'm staying in Abraham Adesanya, I'm not going to be doing any 200k salary office work, unless it's to boost cv. By God's grace i can make that salary in a little over a week, God showing me mercy and my car no worry me.

Okay chief 🙏 which flusher you use?
Kai, I can't remember ooo but my mech recommended it urs can recommend as dere r several. All will do d same work d main thing is the recommended oil better if it's synthetic if not semi synthetic will do just fine as long as it's the same recommended oil spec.

If is still shortening oil even if na by small small na matter of time before it gets worse.. To get the best out of engine, use Mobil 1 full synthetic 10w40 or 10w30...

Keep in mind with the full synthetic the sludge will be flush out faster
Honestly wen it happened to my car I opted to buy 5W 30 mobil 1 but then Mobil started producing that 5W 30 semi synthetic. I thought of I used it and no difference I will then buy Mobil 1 but bro after d first oil change it worked like magic. NO SINGLE OIL SHORTAGE no be say e dey short small small. I have confirmed and reconfirmed it.

It's like it reset itself back I don't know but if u check online ix not uncommon. Engines are built to last really and like plants once em sense water dey come back to life. Except d death don go far ooo grin but from his explanation silent engine still performing well etc I'm hoping this sud work

Na d motor I still dey use till today grin

Na long pick up and lack of requests on their app make me free am then.
Both. There are some guys that don't work on mainland with Uber only island vice versa. I used to work on both.

Yes they have long pickup but you can always ignore and pick d one u want

Not possible you just calculated almost 50% undecided.

Na bolt dey do that kind rubbish. Uber is fixed dey don't do like bolt wey deir charges r not fixed. Uber is professional no hidden charges unlike bolt.

I would have loved to go into details but that won't be necessary. Truth is, what Kaymaxi said about the group is true.

It's normal for them to come and defend the group but it doesn't change what Kaymaxi said about the group...

You're on the right track with your vehicle (if it's 4 plugs, not V6).

At the end of the month, you will smile and shake your head for your salary.

But you have to understand the scope of the hustle and sabi driving very well and carefully, and understand the codes of driving in Lagos.
You will acquire all these when you don start the hustle.
Good thing is that your hustle is just for the weekend, which is a good start for new (e-hailing) drivers.

I just hope that in the next two months, you won't be tempted to dump your "200k" salary job for Uber/bolt hustle. 😁

Much respect, boss.

Chai!
This your residential area na baddeest location for trips.
If you position anywhere around Abraham Adesanya, na only God knows where those trips dey come from - not those yanmayanma trips ooh.
Though, I've not gone beyond Orchid this year, but when that area was a good-to-go area back then, Abraham Adesanya used to be a hot cake, I don't know about now.
What I know of now is the traffic conditions on daily basis for there.
Abeg how una dey take cope over there? lipsrsealed

grin my friend uses Rav 4 09 and he grosses atleast 1.2m per month. It's usually more. His been doing this for 4 months or so and he said God has indeed buttered his bread that after job loss his got something doing that earns him more than his initial corporate job.

It was me that advised him to drive when he was complaining about the job loss and what next to do

He used to earn 900k plus but not up to 1m.. true story
