If you have a good mechanic he's the one that should be picking the engine, unless you're also knowledgeable in that area, otherwise I'd leave it to him.
Like some have also said, first thing I would do is flush the engine. Honda engines are difficult to kill and I'm not surprised that you still have proper compression and movement. Try a flush and see how that goes. Get liqui moly, prestone or seafoam. The reviews on seafoam and liqui moly are overwhelming.
Also, if the oil burn is not crazy bad. If it's something like 1 litre between service cycle, I'd leave it or confidently do the flush.
You may also want to check for visible traces of oil as that would suggest a bad seal somewhere or (as it happens in my own car) change the PCV box if your car has one. Mine usually gets clogged over time and it causes leaks or shortage.

Comprehensive is a flex if you have the fund to do it.

Btw, the person I quoted asked if both insurances cover the work and my response was YES.

my best advice for you is to enter oyigbo. There is nothing that can be wrong with your car that they won't fix, and you will even get the part cheaper there.

Am far from that place. Beside, its better if you have an insider to assist in navigating oyingbo.i stay in Abule Egba. Closer to ladipo.
Any good mechanic in oyingbo? If am visiting a mechanic in there, I will take the pain to visit and fix once and for all
