You guys should stop creating appointment when you are not ready or have admission yet. This is how you all are creating problems for those who have admission already and ready to start studies. Now they are suffering long queue of appointment. What is the need of doing that. Wait till you get admission and book appointment. Nigerians!!

christabeli:
Thank you for your response. Has anyone here applied successfully using the New portal without getting an admission?

Every applicant must show proof of financial means including PhD students, however most PhD programs are funded ,hence if you are funded you don't need a block account and appointment is always faster for PhD programs, scholarship holders and first class students .

The semester has started, so like a letter from the university stating you can still join.

I was asked to send this too after my interview. You have to send an email to your school.

Has your school started session. If yes, are you enrolled and taking classes remotely with them? If yes, you can still join them, because you have been following classes up. Mail your school's student services to send you a letter addressed to the embassy.

Hello all,

Could someone kindly assist with timeline for Visa processing for Researchers (PhD Students)?

I had my interview by September 29th. Would like to know a reasonable time range to expect response from the embassy.

T for Thanks.

Y'all be careful out here. There are scammers in this thread, pretending to be interested in the same things y'all chasing, to be students needing answers and all, but they're scouting for noobs whom they will swindle. Safety first!

Hi please i noticed you mentioned they now ask for FSLC, please can primary school testimonial suffice for this? As i currently don't have my official first school leaving certificate, i only have the testimonial.
Excellent111:
Good day.

I just finished my BSc and i'm trying to apply for a masters in Germany. It turns out that they now require, at the embassy during visa application, your first school leaving Certificate and BECE (junior waec) and I'm having name discrepancies in the order of arrangement on these documents with my FSLC carrying my surname and first name, BECE carrying my surname, middle name and first name while my Waec, NIN, degree and co carries my surname, First name and Middle all in the respective orders stated. This is even more frustrating as the mistakes were made by my school as we were too young to know about this whole name thing in primary and junior secondary school, every other thing I filled myself have the right order.

My question is how do I go about rectifying this? Does the affidavit and newspaper publication objectively rectify this? Does it affect chances of a successful application/decision?.

Please be kind enough to respond when you see this, I'll be anticipating your responses, I need as much input as I can get on this.

Thank you all in advance.

You are very rude and quick to react. If you were patient enough and scrolled down a bit, you would have read where someone answered me already. I asked that question because I saw on YouTube where someone advised that it should be done like that.
Be tactful in all your dealings. Peace!

Visa Dilemma Seeking Advice

Hi everyone,

I'm facing a challenging situation and would appreciate your insights. Here's my scenario:

1. I received admission from University A for the Winter semester, but due to delays, they canceled my admission.
2. I subsequently received admission from University B for the Summer semester, with a different course.

Question: Can I proceed with the visa interview using University B's admission letter, despite the difference in courses and semester?

Additionally, my motivation letter that I uploaded was based on University A's admission.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Since your interview date is close that means you applied through the old portal.

The question now is, which motivation letter did you upload? Because there was no option to upload any document in the old portal.

I applied through the new portal (German embassy in Accra Ghana.) so, the motivation letter I uploaded was based on the first school that gave me admission for this winter semester.

If you have an admission letter you can book but it takes 2 years. Without admission letter you can't book an appointment. But here is the twist there, if you eventually get the appointment for a visa after 2 years long wait and arrive Germany for your masters, you must graduate in the next 2 years otherwise you will
have problem changing your visa to post study and automatically might be exmatriculated if you fail to graduate or even face deportation because as a master's student you have a maximum of 8 semesters but unfortunately a lot of us has already used 4 in search for an appointments date.
Thanks, man. I've moved to Germany since 1st week of October.
