Nine Killed, Several Abducted As Bandits Mount Coordinated Attacks On Kaduna Communities

A heartbreaking and chilling report has emerged from Birnin Gwari Local Government Area of Kaduna State, where armed bandits launched coordinated attacks on Thursday evening.

A resident of Birnin Gwari town, the local government headquarters, confirmed the incident, describing it as a well-coordinated assault by the attackers.

According to one source, the bandits surrounded Layin Danauta village in Kuyello Ward on Thursday evening, blocking all entry and exit routes while firing sporadically.

Another resident reported that by around 7 p.m., after the attackers had retreated, nine bodies were recovered, while about 13 injured persons were rushed to the hospital for treatment.

Several villagers were also believed to have been abducted during the attack.

The source added that the full extent of the casualties might not be known until Friday morning, when search and rescue operations were expected to resume.

Efforts to continue the search on Thursday night were halted due to darkness and fears that the assailants might still be nearby.

The recovered bodies are expected to be buried today (Friday), either before or shortly after the Friday congregational prayers.

It's not a unique situation, it happened in Afghanistan, Somalia, Iran, Libya, when you have an opposition that are desperate for power and willing to snatch it by any means necessary, they would create a large division to create an us vs them siege mentality among the people and thrive off that division, remember the protests with Jonathan inside a coffin? Remember the dog and baboon comment Buhari made? Remember the saying "an attack on Boko haram is an attack on the north", remember them calling for Boko haram to be delisted as a Terror group?

All of these actions and statements were made by the current ruling party back when they were the opposition, unfortunately the Northerners identified with that rhetoric and the rest as they say, is history. The problem with creating a division like this, particularly one based on radical religious ideologies, is that you can't just put it back in the box you brought it out of and that's what we have been experiencing for the last 15 or so years now, it would all eventually lead to the collapse of the system as we know it.
