MaxInDHouse:
You don't get my point!

I wasn't born a Christian but they found me. Have you heard of Jehovah's Witnesses?
Well that is the one and only Christian group that meets up with all the things Jesus taught not individually because he wasn't talking about each individual meeting up with what is perfect but as a group.
So any other group claiming Christians are fake if we have to go by what Jesus of Nazareth said:

"By their fruits you will recognize them. Never do people gather grapes from thorns or figs from thistles, do they?  Likewise, every good tree produces fine fruit, but every rotten tree produces worthless fruit. A good tree cannot bear worthless fruit, nor can a rotten tree produce fine fruit" Matthew 7:16-18

God's purpose was to gather all faithful people throughout the earth and form a global family of peace loving worshipers {Isaiah 2:4; Micah 4:3} once that has been achieved what sincere and honest hearted individuals need to do is join the organization that's meeting up with this goal. Of course JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES stands out differently and the whole world knows this!
BafanaBafana:
Quite true. JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES are actually one of the few denominations who are still following Christ. Most churches now are headed by motivational speakers who only use the name of Jesus to preach other things. The goal is to attract members to their church and the members will bring the money.
Shikena!
freethinker01:
Tho I don't like their disturbance, I'd have to say they're far better than all their Christian tithe whoring counterparts.
Oye0404:
well said, once had a witness DAT comes around for years, truth is,dis guys are so caring and accommodating. lots if misconceptions about dem..
APOPTOSIS:
JEHOVAH'S WITNESS is operating at a different level.
They have been steadfast, resolute and committed.
I hold no grudge against them. They downplay commercialization of churches.
They entertain persecutions a lot, in fact more than several Christian bodies.
Seems in their church everyone is at same level irrespective of your degree, financial acquaintance and contacts.
And it seems they obey the Bible the most:
-They hardly disturb neighbors during prayers.
-They frown at intimidation and flamboyant lifestyles.
-They ensure financial gifts are covered and never displeased at whatever they recieve.
-Their members would make good politicians but they frown at politics
I respect them. I judge based on actions and not what I'm told
.
XXLDICK:
They remain the most peaceful Christian denomination.
They do not pay tithes. They are the only Christian denomination yet to be commercialized. They are my favourite.
Cons:
They do not recite the national anthem.
They do not participate in elections.
They do not accept blood transfusion.
boss1310:
The way they are hated makes me to think sometimes they might be the true Christians but I might be wrong.
Love800:
I would love to be a JEHOVAH'S WITNESS, because of their gentle life. Relaxed service and programs(not those stressful and loud types), and serenity of their church yard. Infact, its this serenity of their abode that blows my mind!

But the thing that worries me, is their misled teachings. How can you say that we are not going to die, but remain on earth and unite with our love ones and live happily together forever!
Deway52:
I am convinced that JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES are the real religion, they do everything in line with the bible.
Na small time remain for me now, I don enter. If everybody in the world is a jw the world would be a better place.

You too can mango pick verses after all i quoted the Bible for you so answer the question:

Who are other MORNING STARS since they are all SONS OF GOD?🙂
If I have 5sons.

And I tell you, That one is my biological son.

And the other 4 are my adopted sons, are they not all my Sons?

Do the other sons of God have the Image, name ,form,or the fullness of the Deity of God in them?

8. Colossians 2:9
In [Christ] all the fullness of deity dwells bodily.

7. Colossians 1:15
[Jesus] is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. For by him all things were created…

6. Philippians 2:5-7
Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but made himself nothing, taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men.

3. John 1:1
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
John begins his Gospel by talking about “the Word” and saying essentially three things about “the Word”:
He existed “in the beginning,” which is a reference to creation (Genesis 1:1). “The Word” was with God.
“The Word” was God.

OK so now you agree that angels are also God's Sons right?
If you agree then we can now address Paul's letter to the first century Hebrew speaking congregation! smiley

Keep deceiving yourself.

Are humans not also called God's son?

Address the points I raised, and stop running from the truth.

Leave Paul's letter first, tell me why other Angels do not bear GOD'S name, forgive sin, recieve worship, share God's glory, I can go on and on.

I have already defeated your lame lie and excuse.

Please stick to the above, and leave Paul's letter.

So let's go back to what i quoted earlier for you in the Bible:

Then the Lord spoke to Job out of the storm. He said: “Who is this that obscures my plans with words without knowledge? Brace yourself like a man; I will question you, and you shall answer me. “Where were you when I laid the earth’s foundation? Tell me, if you understand. Who marked off its dimensions? Surely you know! Who stretched a measuring line across it? On what were its footings set, or who laid its cornerstone— while the morning stars sang together and all the angels shouted for joy?
‭Job 38:1-7 NIV‬

When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy? KJV

when the morning stars sang together and the angels shouted with joy? ERV

When the morning stars joyfully cried out together, And all the sons of God began shouting in applause? NWT

Is it clear to you now that the sons of God Moses wrote about in that book are angels?🙂

I said I SEE your point, that means I acknowledge it. It doesn’t mean I GET your point, and I certainly never said I do. It’s hard to "get" the point of people like you. You know why? Because you’re not any different from every other religious nutcase out there. You all churn out the same tone-deaf rhetoric, sanctimonious and garnished with Bible verses but lacking a shred of logic.

There’s nothing you want to tell me that I haven’t heard before. The guy from Redeemed Christian Church of God says their Jesus is the best. The one from Winners Chapel says their Jesus tastes better. Now here you are, Jehovah’s Witness, insisting your Jesus “stands out differently.” Jesus is a marketplace brand at this point and I’m not buying, even if it’s on a 2 for 1 discount.

Have I heard of Jehovah’s Witnesses? God, yes and I probably might puke the next time one of your evangelists asks if I’ve “got a minute to spare.” If I kept all the pamphlets they've given me, it just might be enough for me to start a lucrative paper recycling business. Each one selling the same utopian fantasy of heaven on earth. Meanwhile, the world’s on fire and religion’s got both hands in the fuel tank.

You said they found you. What were you, lost? Besides, I never asked how you became a Christian. Whether you were born into it or “found,” that’s your own spaghetti with chocolate sauce, and it's certainly between you and your own spiritual GPS. It still doesn’t change the fact that most Nigerian Christians were born into religion, not reasoned into it.

And I love how you completely sidestepped every point I made. I expected at least a whiff of reasoning, maybe something about the rot and division foreign religions have caused but, as usual, it’s just another sales pitch. No substance, just vibes and recycled Bible verses. Why think when the Bible can do it for you, right?

And that verse you quoted - “Never do people gather grapes from thorns or figs from thistles”, are you actually asking me? Have you even seen grapes? Has the average Nigerian? That’s exactly my point: this foreign religion you swallowed doesn’t even speak to your own culture or environment. Grapes grow where those events apparently happened - the Middle East and the Mediterranean, not Africa. Yet you build your whole life worshipping metaphors from a land you’ll never visit, about fruits you’ll never taste, written in a language that was never yours. But sure, quote away.

No, I’m not joining your Jehovah’s Witness organization. The world is not the utopia you people keep advertising. The same religion that claims to save humanity has been the most efficient tool for dividing and controlling it and the same people who weaponized religion are the ones who are ruining the world but sure, keep dreaming about “heaven on earth.” Whatever helps you sleep through the chaos.

Oh, and I read that your president’s son is distributing one million Bibles for his 40th birthday. Because of course, religion is the leash, and you all wear it like gold jewellry. But religion has nothing to do with politics, right? They're not creating 1000 jobs or micro loans but 1 million bibles. If each of those bibles cost $1, that's 1 million dollar that could've empower some youths, or supported entrepreneurs. Who's leading the distribution? The Christian Association of Nigeria. But sure, go collect yours. Doesn’t matter if you already own one, at the end of the day, what’s better than one Bible? Two! Gift it to another “lost soul.” You’ll all be fine in the end.

Intelligent people who (crucially) leverage their intelligence to perform useful, valuable work place a much higher value on a quiet environment with few interruptions.

Of course there is a law against making noise or disturbing people with unwanted noise.

It's the law Jesus himself set as example {Galatians 6:2} the scriptures said about him:

"Look! My servant whom I chose, my beloved, whom I have approved! I will put my spirit upon him, and what justice is he will make clear to the nations. He will not quarrel nor cry aloud, nor will anyone hear his voice in the main streets. No bruised reed will he crush, and no smoldering wick will he extinguish, until he brings justice with success.  Indeed, in his name nations will hope.” Matthew 12:18-21

So according to the law of Christ himself disturbing people with noise when they haven't given you the permission to speak is wrong.
That's why Jesus commanded his disciples to approach people in their homes so you may ask for permission before speaking! Matthew 10:11-13

You are just quoting scripture wrongly and you don't even understand what that means. Jesus that most of is engagement was on the street. The disciples after him was on the street. He never made going to people's home as the standard. You can preach to people in whatever way that is available to you. A journey of 10 minutes with 50 people it's impossible to do one on one. The easiest way is to talk to them all.

Is the highlighted a direction from Jesus regarding how to preach or a parable?😟

Jesus commissioned the one on one preaching and teaching because he knew interested ones will ask questions that his disciples needs to answer.

That's the sense behind the one on one preaching but when you are making noise in the neighborhood nobody dare ask you any questions because it doesn't make any sense.
Before the time of Jesus God's prophets were sent like town criers because the nation have the same laws given by their God and King but by the time of John the baptist Israelites weren't on their own anymore they were under Roman government so anyone disturbing the streets with noise will be arrested by the Roman armies as one constituting nuisance that's why John the baptist who served as forerunner before the Christ had to shout not within their streets but in the wilderness! John 1:23 compare to Isaiah 40:3

This is not arguable because it's what we can prove with the scriptures noise pollution is unchristian!😟

Library is not the only place to respect other people's right to peaceful enjoyment.
I have lived with all races & colors, nowhere else have I seen people preaching in buses and disturbing others.
Go on YouTube and search preaching in a bus or a train and see for yourself.

Guy in that verse Jesus was relating a parable not giving a command to his disciples o!

On hearing these things, one of the fellow guests said to him: “Happy is the one who dines in the Kingdom of God.”  Jesus said to him: “A man was spreading a grand evening meal, and he invited many. He sent his slave out at the hour of the evening meal to say to the invited ones, ‘Come, because everything is now ready.’  But they all alike began to make excuses. The first said to him, ‘I bought a field and need to go out and see it; I ask you, have me excused.’ And another said, ‘I bought five yoke of cattle and am going to examine them; I ask you, have me excused.’ Still another said, ‘I just got married, and for this reason I cannot come.’ So the slave came and reported these things to his master. Then the master of the house became angry and said to his slave, ‘Go out quickly to the main streets and the alleys of the city, and bring in here the poor and crippled and blind and lame.’ In time the slave said, ‘Master, what you ordered has been done, and still there is room.’  So the master said to the slave, ‘Go out to the roads and the lanes and compel them to come in, so that my house may be filled.  For I say to you, none of those men who were invited will taste my evening meal.’” Luke 14:15-24

Here is the full story.

So was Jesus giving orders to his disciples here?😟

Those noisemakers aren't doing it for the Lord Jesus because the preaching and teaching work has RULES that we must adhere to strictly so as not to constitute public nuisance and accusing Jesus as the one behind such nonsense!😟

Because you haven't seen does not mean it is not being done. Go on YouTube.
And it being done does not make it right. Simple civility tells us to respect other people and rights to peaceful living.
Preaching on the road may be fair because at least people have a choice to leave if uncomfortable. But being in a confined space like a bus, and being forced to listen to preaching is disrespectful and uncomfortable.
Imagine someone farting/eating locust beans food on a confined bus (and saying it's not against the law)....it's not truly, but it's not civil.

Let's take things one at a time.

Do you believe in God?

If so what do you expect God to do with the way things are getting out of hand in the world today?🙂
I'm certainly not doing this “Do you believe in God?” merry-go-round. You lack substance and I’m not here to play theology tennis. You've made your pitch, I'm not buying. All the best with your ministry.

Is preaching accepted in the BRT?
