Segedinho:Which new 10k fintech transfer tax? No be Emefiele introduced the 50 naira tax on transfer from 10k Nd above abi you think it's a new tax? Again bros, if you can't analyze a policy, then don't jump into discussion that's about a policy. There's nowhere in my post that I mentioned APC or Tinubu, the screenshot I responded to wasn't even about Tinubu but about the contradiction of Mr Taiwo which till now none of you have been able to point out the contradiction in the tweet. Please I beg you, stay on discussion that your mental capacity can process seamlessly and stop jumping into discussion you can't hold or sustain with any meaningful contributions. |

iamoyindamola:I actually agree. I think the pension law will be the next law they'll try to reform after the insurance law but most people argue the pension law does work and shouldn't be tampered with. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by BlueRayDick: 10:37am On Oct 17, 2025 |
iamoyindamola:The government cannot do this because it will be unfair to the employers/business owner. If I own a company and government is proposing to increase Employers' contribution to staff pension to 20%, I will kick against the move because it will further Impose financial burden on me as an employer of Labour. The only way is government further working on our wage system. If people earn well, the current 10% employers contribution is not so bad if the staff earn decent salary. |

Tataffo:Let's not use sentiments to argue. Both Kanu and Igboho wanted the same things and even approached them the same way. They both set up militias. Now whatever Kanu said about Lagos was during the Endsars protests and it was way a to hit the country hard. That is he wanted that protest to lead to chaos that would probably give room for disintegration. This is not saying he is righteous, but that other influencers did same things. |

BlueRayDick:If a business owner is paying pension they should be able to pay 20% employers because they are the culprit here Those guys are evil they under pay and still delay pension remit, of they won't pay pension they should pay full salary with tax We know many companies don't declare their full profit at the end of the year |

LordAdam16:All that means is that you should STFU. Even Palestinians hate Hamas, so why are you a Nigerian supporting them? |

izzou:Nigerians are one of the easiest people to deceive/manipulate in the whole world. Few weeks ago Dangote had most of them believing PENGASSAN and NUPENG are the reason the government refineries are not working. NUPENG is the reason why they are not buying PMS cheaper because of the levies they collect on each truck of fuel and all other sort of nonsense his PR machineries dished out. Today everybody is quietly buying Dangote PMS and NNPC PMS above N900 and they are not outraged. Dull people were saying PENGASSAN should go and build their refinery forgetting how FG gave Dangote access to FX which every other Nigerian needed access to back then o. If u look at what our politicians, religious leaders and even big conglomerate have successfully done to manipulate Nigerians to be on their side always, you just have to agree that as smart as we may be as a people; we are so easy to manipulate especially with our biases |

BlueRayDick:You are not wailing but you have referred to me and commented multiple times about this since Hasbara floated this new agenda. Palestinian Live Matters. A Palestinian that collects money and weapons from genocidal barbarians to kill Palestinians in the middle of a genocide clearly does not believe Palestinian Live Matters. And the penalty for that treason in most of world, particularly in the Middle East, is death. It is open and shut. The UN found that Israel committed four of the five acts of genocide. That is open and shut. So if Israel starts bombing Nigeria, you will also collect money and weapons from the Israelis to kill Nigerians. Or will you do it for the promise of a visa? Look at how low you have fallen in a maddening bid to justify genocide. -Lord |

izzou:Please don't confuse Kanu with Ekpa. IPOB under Kanu was largely peaceful except when they formed ESN specifically to fight Fulani herdsmen (similar to Igboho) If you're looking for the IPOB version that killed people it was Ekpa who I believe was working with the government. |

larride:You are sounding too defensive or maybe adding some volume of aggression. I have not in anyway blamed Tinubu on the fintech taxation of 10k..wch is #100 per transaction[sender =50...receiver=50]... I don't have to know much about the tax b4 I reject it cos the outcome will always be negative to the masses while the elites Cruz on more wealth. What will you do or say if your well documented formulas happens to be false representation of reality comes 2026. ![]() Maybe u don't understand my stand.....in summary..why more tax when d existing tax yielded no results?? |

iamoyindamola:Most well run company remit your pension to your preferred PFA which you submitted during onbaording and you will get alert from your PFA anytime your company do remittance to your RSA. Since I started working, all my employers do remit my 8% and their own 10% contribution to my RSA and I get alerted when they do. If a company is not remitting, then the staff should ask questions or talk to management na. What I'm saying is this; increasing the employer's contribution from 10% to 20% is a burden on their books. You are looking at it from the lower level angle . Look at it from the angle of employees earning N2m per month, it means the company will have to cough out N2.4m per month for the Salary + pension contribution of that staff. Whereas, before now they were only paying N2.2m as that staff expense. If they do same for all their staff, it will significantly increase their personnel cost na. |

LordAdam16:All these long hypocritical shalaye no really concern me. It's just amusing how you moved from that Nairaland Palestinian who "loved" all Palestinians (both the armed militia and the civilians) with "brotherly love", only for you to suddenly start justifying why some Palestinians need to die and others empowered to kill them. Weldone! Eku Ise takun takun; Eku ija fun eto omoniyan ![]() |

Tataffo:Is that not already happening? I remembered arguing with izzou (can't recall clearly if he's the one) that nnpc must continue to operate in that industry and even if possible import when necessary. If Dangote get a full hold of that industry lasan, we go feel it. The man is a full blown capitalist. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by larride(m): 11:15am On Oct 17, 2025 |
Segedinho:Again you are speaking from a place of ignorance, I'm not even insulting you bros. That's why I keep asking the person I quoted first which new tax was being introduced. Bros, it's a Tax REFORM law, you really need to sit down and read the tax law for yourself. The new tax law is not imposing new tax. What the government will do with the tax or what they are doing with the tax is another argument entirely which is valid on its own. |

Spy360:Lagos was not the seat of power and it was not the only place protest was happening in Nigeria,if he wanted disintegration,he could have backed the protest happening in Abuja more with burn this and that over there... Ighoho didn't do hate speech on radio, deriding other tribes and calling for the brutal murders of the nation's security personnels...That is the clear and big difference spy |

afrodoc:Here is my theory; aside Farouk Lawan and maybe Maryam Sanda, there are not so much well know PEPs (Politically Exposed Persons) on the pardon list. They didn't envisage people would google and query the inclusion of Kelvin the kidnapper, the Nigerian Army who sold arms to terrorists, the 40 illegal miners and 70 drug offenders on the list. They had thought people will grumble about Farouk Lawan and maybe Maryam Sanda, then few days after we will move on while the horde of offenders who committed violent crime or drug related crime on the list would've passed under the radar. I have a very strong belief that majority of those criminals did actually pay for slot to be included in the list (Bar dem Herbert Macaulay, Vatsa, Ogoni nine, etc). Then the AGF, SGF and another office expected to vet the list were either incompetent or complicit to the extent of allowing the list to pass down to the president who signed without reviewing the list himself. The whole thing reeks of corruption, incompetence, negligence and criminal audacity to push nonsense down the throat of the people knowing fully well that there are people who will off cloth to defend the nonsense. |
