LordReed:Get close to elderly people please. The language is Edo with sub-languages and dialects. The mother language remains Edo, not Bini, or Benin (Both words came recently from outsiders connecting the language to the region the kingdom domiciled at. |

I like the FACT that you Ondo folks some of who I personally know for decades now are always very proud to speak your dialect of the Yoruba language anytime and anywhere. It adds up to the enrichment of the "cultures and sub-cultures" of the over 80 million strong Yoruba folks spread in major population centers worldwide. I appreciate your feedback here. Cheers. |
