izzou:Last month, someone reached out to me from this forum and requested that I lend my voice in asking for NK’s freedom on this forum. This same handle acknowledged my strong position against NK/ IPOB. However the handle believes the SE will become safer after his release. I told the handle, Has Nnamdi Kanu and his cult apologized for the intimidation and open killing of the same Igbo sons and daughters they claimed to be protecting in the first place? Has Nnamdi Kanu apologized for the economic sabotage that is fueled by the same intimidation that has kept Igbo land locked for nearly 5 years? Has Nnamdi Kanu apologized for the duplication of killings in Igbo land? Has he apologized for raising a criminal element like Ekpa? How about ESN? Has Nnamdi Kanu apologized for the destruction of private and government properties in Igbo land? What have we achieved with his style? When Ikonso died, what were Nnamdi Kanu’s instructions? In the same Igbo land!!! The Igbo sons/ daughters used to bury Ikonso, are they not our bloodline? Has Nnamdi Kanu apologized for inciting violence in Igbo land with his reckless commentaries? I told him, whenever he takes accountability, I may lend a voice. Until then he should remain there. Nnamdi Kanu has the blood of Igbo sons and daughters on his hands and I absolutely do not care what anyone thinks about my position. Just because it is happening in other regions doesn’t justify it in Igbo land. Other regions can decide to do whatever they want. I have said it, especially to those in diaspora who sponsor the violence in Igbo land… These killings will come to your doorstep one day. NK condemning killings in 2024 and trying to accuse criminal elements in his group has no consequences for me. Biafra and the marginalization of Igbos in Nigeria is a legitimate argument but I can’t support a group like IPOB and how it’s style. Nigeria is such a volatile country to use such strategies in pursuing whatever cause you have. Rubbish!!!!! |

Roland17:I know a wealthy Ibo guy in the US he built his mansion in the east and since 2019 he hasn't been able to visit the place. When he went to bury his dad he claimed he was paying 100k security fee per day to ESN guys who could only guarantee his security within the village they told him anywhere outside the village whether en route or back he is on his own While in the village, na shorts and slippers he dey wear around so people dont know who he is or his status Immediately after the burial he relocated his mother out of the village to Lagos. His mansion has been abandoned A lot of prominent people in his area too have done the same after enduring kidnap, multiple ransom payments and even witnessing murder of fellow Ibos |

raumdeuter:So the bandits that didn't run from law enforcement agencies in the north are not criminals? No wonder you support Tinubu, a known drug and fake certificate criminal as you don't see criminality for what it is. |

The narrative that NK is responsible for the killings in the SE is false. We should be careful because the lives of people are involved here. If not for anything, NK defended the lives of Igbos against the marauders called herdsmen that attack farmers. This was in response to the inability of the governors of the SE to respond to the calls for protection. That's why he formed the ESN to protect his people. ESN itself is a replica of Amotekun. Recall that the SE governors in response went ahead to later form another version of ESN called Ebubeagu Security Network who are the people largely responsible for whatever insecurity you see today. Again please do not mistake IPOB under NK and that under Ekpa. NK himself disowned Ekpa and warned him to desist from using his name to perpetrate evil. I am writing this without sentiments. If I have any form of sentiments I would be also defending Ekpa. But I am not. Let's not try to be politically correct and then make statements that will affect the lives and well-being of people. Those who are at home cam tell you what's happening and not state news. |

| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by raumdeuter: 2:29pm On Oct 18, 2025 |
Spy360:So Ebubeagu are the ones responsible for insecurity not IPOB and not ESN Yet you will say that's also an opinion |

The Igbos who are against the release of MNK should ask themselves what is making Sowore take the risk to take this fight personally https://x.com/ikemefula001/status/1979067029849083945?t=_KWBAggX02ueFeVnAaIrZw&s=19 |

Following the arrest of 16 army officers who have been accused of “coup plotting”, I would advise Tinubu to carefully watch his movements, shelve any unnecessary foreign trips, and also look into reshuffling the army high command. Na so Shagari dey down play prior coup plots before IBB and Abacha overthrew him |

izzou:Is Nnamdi Kanu any different from the thousands of Nigerians languishing in jail for years and years while awaiting and actively in trial? Left to me, the conversation should be about judicial reform and not centering a character who has been responsible for so much death and destruction. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by izzou(m): 4:08pm On Oct 18, 2025 |
Theflint1:So why are we not protesting for the thousands languishing in jail? If he isn't different, why did Sowore and the others choose to speak only on Kanu, and abandoned the thousands? |

Roland17:I am guessing you are following the beef between Bitcoin Chief, Gaius Chibueze and IPOB Chiefs who are threatening him for expressing the above sentiment. Chibueze basically said that no Igbo abroad should send money home to IPOB or anyone claiming they can deliver Biafra, that such an act is sponsorship of insecurity and home-grown terrorism. As a result Chibueze is having to relocate all his businesses from the SE |

I still don't understand how imo state became the headquarters of this IPOB stuff. Lockdown still takes place every Monday in Orlu and Okigwe. MNK is not even from Imo state and yet na there be the hq of insecurity in the East. |
