“You Can’t Be A Feminist If You Are Broke” – Lady Shares by DyshApp(op): 10:40pm On Oct 17, 2025
Nigerian online personality and entrepreneur, Adeife, has stirred massive reactions online after declaring that true feminism requires financial independence, not just online activism.

Adeife says feminism isn’t just about tweeting quotes or posting empowering messages online. Real empowerment comes from having choices, and choices often come with money.

“You can’t be a feminist if you’re broke. Money is what makes a woman powerful. You can’t be empowered without the means of empowerment, which is money.”

She explained that financial dependence is why many women stay in bad relationships, unfulfilling jobs, or stressful situations.

Adeife known for her her outspoken views on women’s empowerment, encouraged ladies to earn their own income, saying money gives the freedom to make decisions, challenge norms, and shape their lives.

Is Adeife right that money equals empowerment?

Women are just deluded creatures who are hell bent on twisting everything to be in their favour.
Feminists demand equal opportunity but not equal responsibility, who are you fooling?
There are some natural laws you can't fight against as efforts and attempts to do that will only be met with frustration.

I have no problem with feminism, the real one that stands for equality and giving women the same respect and opportunities as men.
But this Naija remix of feminism that’s all about hating men, broke-shaming, and calling it “independence” every time they live olosho lifestyle. The Real feminism isn’t “I can disrespect men and do anyhow.” It’s “I can build myself up, get educated, and earn my space, same way men do.”

If we all had the same university and opportunities, then focus on using yours, not dragging men online for sport. Equality no be war, abeg.

I shame for broke feminist women always brokeshaming men grin

The worst set of feminists are Nigerian feminists.A gal that can't even afford her sanitary pad by herself will be claiming feminist. Very delusional set of people. Now,men are seeing them for what they truly are.e don over them.

That gender prefer dwelling in a carefully curated illusion. Reality hurts them,so they shy away from it. How can you be competing with men and still expect to be spoon-fed by the same men? It's true that logic is far away from the female gender.

Lmao. You are right actually. With all her money, fame and being a Senator, she's still fighting patriarchy.

But seriously, why would anyone tie feminism with money? That's just réta@rdéd.
