Air peace and other Nigerian airlines are not immune to this, but we can also do better with proper maintenance and planning.

Honestly this is my number one fear on aircraft, fires. And for lithium ion battery fires that practically cannot be out out what do you do. You can imagine if this happens in the middle of a transatlantic or transpacific flight, hours away from land, where do you go.

I think a time is coming when devices will be sequestered at airport screenings and kept in special fireproof containers that are as robust as the ladles used in steel mills that withstand heat and fire of several thousand degrees.

Because I have seen a number of lithium battery fires and some are as terrifying ad blow torches.

At Doha last year I had to strip down my laptop for inspection. They were looking for signs of age, wear and repair before tagging it with a pass.

Mobile phone has done this generation more harm. A deadly incident like that and instead to think of lives on board, they pulled out their phones to take pictures

They will soon ban the use or traveling with power bank or anything that uses elertric battery to travel again because it can be use as bomb to hijack plane

I swear they will ban gadget from traveling on air because battery now are getting commonly use now and it dangerous. THEY WILL BAN POWER BANK OR ANY THING THAT SAVES ELECTRICITY IN IT
