Good idea, I don already get laundry iron, dryer , washing machine, getting myself ready for side hustle,next yr will complete the project.

These are my strategies

1. All my children are in public sch - we have free tuition for primary and sec sch in Anambra State
2. I live in my house - no rent, no water supply during rainy season
3. I don't farm
4. I buy foodstuffs in bulk - once I get my pay I will restock foodstuffs till next pay day
5. I enroll and pay for myself, children and wife in health insurance scheme - hospital bill is being taken care via health insurance plan I paid via my salary
6. I belong to modest not too demanding thrift unions and cooperative societies for savings and emergency loans.
7. I have a car for family outing and motorcycle for daily runs
8. I cut my coat according to my cloth;

you suppose give us tutorial about this your strategy o...i have a lot to learn here o...how you manage to use less than 100k for fuel and foodstuff per month is what i need to know.

How much did it cost you to setup the shop?

As a private university lecturer ( Assistant lecturer), my monthly take home is 115,000. No breathing space to do other things. My wife is also a private secondary school teacher, we have two kids.
Although we are surviving but i will never encourage others to do such, because i know what I am passing through daily.

You can seek better employment benefits in other universities. Don't limit urself, that pay for a lecturer is dehumanising.

Wow !! This is surprising. I teach in a secondary school and my take home is same amount. I am not married yet and I am not even considering it because I can see clearly what the struggle and weight of responsibility is doing to other men who don't have enough resources. Yet even with the glaring reality many of them still compel me to get married to which I remain adamant. I like your sincere and honest advice.

Please don't marry with that salary. Don't give in to any undue pressure, marriage without money is a waste of both your time.
Times have changed from the days our parents could just get by on the minimum and still pay fees, rent etc.
Men are not under any pressure to start a family till maybe mid 40s hence you have enough time to build yourself.

I will advise you never to start a business you will never manage by yourself.
I started a charging/ pos business this year in a university village where there is no light.
I spent 1m plus.
I put someone to handle it and the business na story upon story.
No single profit..
If you want someone to handle.
Remove emotions and be brutal.
Set rules for them.
That was the mistake I made in the first place.
If possible let the person write undertaken and also give him weekly or monthly target to meet up.
If not they will keep giving you excuse , no customers or work.

Wow. Na me una dey talk ooooo. Working with Naija supposed giant telco. Junior workers salary is not encouraging. Once I resume I am available to fix all problems. If na by Salary nobody go prosper talk less of marry or help anybody. Na side hustle we dey take balance. I have already drafted all these,I'm into HR and knows the tricks of employees,small basic pay and all other earnings will be tied on commission.

I think a bag of rice is around 70k and a family of 4 will consume that atleast a year. So that solves a year long problem, you can now think of solving other problems with the remaining income

Well, i don't know how you do it but mine is a family of 4 and we eat a quarter bag of rice in 3/4 months, half bag more than 6 months and a bag definitely will be a yaer or more.
