Christian marriage doesn't teach what you wrote. The wife and the man, husband and wife are one. So the rest family members are on a second tier.

If my brother wants privacy on our father’s property, he should go and buy his own land and build his house not divide our father’s property with a fence. Family house for that matter. What you won’t do when the owner (our father was alive) you don’t attempt it when he is gone even from earth.

The siblings obviously want things the way their father left it. So why would he take a solitary decision to distort their family house. Any good wife would have advised him against it. it's easy to blame the new comer or stranger for the issue in the family even tho the brothers may have been having overlooked issues while eating from same pot.

“His own side” in our family house that our father built lol. Can you hear yourself. You didn’t think if the old man wanted to his house divided he could have done it himself, instead of respecting his decision you advise your husband that can’t afford to buy land and build a house for himself to fence family property.

But the concept of change is constantly a thing that happens with time and I encourage people to embrace it, don't fight it rather enact necessary measures that protects your interest and have a liberal face for continuous association as much as you can entertain

This is not about your brother having a bad wife. It may be that your brother secretly had the ambition to have his privacy away from your prying eyes in the first place. I salute people who can live or build in a family compound or land because i can not. Even if you dash me free mansion inside family compound, I may collect it but I will not live there and I will rent it out and go live somewhere else far away from family members who WILL never mind their business and will always be poking their noses into each others business. I am very fierce about protecting my privacy and I prefer to see family members at a time of my own choosing.

Some people have this rose tinted view of family and want to cling onto the unrealistic ideas of family bonding that they had as children forgetting that they are now strong willed adults who think and feel different as adiults and if they keep forcing themselves to live in too close a proximity as adults, then it will lead to friction and could at times lead to fatal violence as we keep reading in the news in Nigerian families.

Even the twins - P Square broke off their familial ties after it became strained by too many years of living too close to one another even after they grew up and got married.
