A 9 years should not be left unsupervised for 8 hours. This is not fair at all no matter the good intention. This is very reckless. May God bless the soul of the departed 🤔

The problem wasn’t that the child was left unsupervised. I was shocked myself because a 9 yr old should be able to get out. It turns out it was the medication that was administered to the child that sedated the child.

Not that I recommend it but the issue wasn’t leaving a 9yr old child in the car. The issue was the child was medicated and sedated.

My 9 year old daughter knows how to open/unlock my car.. infact, she has her own keys to the house and would just open and enter anytime she comes back from school and no one is at home.

A 9 year old is not a baby..so you don't babysit a 9year old.

In the United States a 13 year is old enough to become a babysitter and you're here saying that they should babysit a 9year old girl.

Even if there was not serious heat temperatures it is still wrong to leave ur 9 year old kid alone in the car for 8 hours.

Where is the dad? Parents should work around their kids schedules or create safe alternatives for their kids when they have to be at work.

Your post is extremely insensitive and cruel. A child’s death should never be used to score political or ethnic points. If your first reaction is to score cheap ethnic points instead of showing empathy, you need to check your soul. No matter our tribe or opinions, compassion and empathy should come first...not even for the mum, but the innocent child!

If she cared about her child, then her child's safety should've come first. If everyone is leaving their child/ren in hot cars in the hot summer heat because they've no money to hire babysitters, then jails would be full. There're summer camps and things like clubs for kids where they're there all day - they make friends and do fun activities. You can't tell me she couldn't afford to pay for something. That was probably not the first time she left her in that car. I'm sure there're cameras on the premises of that plant and they've seen the child in there who knows how many times before this. The Police that charged her with murder know what they're doing.

When you are in obodo oyibo and you are just starting out these are the risks you will face.

She was working in a factory, which means she was already at the lower end of the salary earning scale. And in obodo oyibo 8 hours is 8 hours,esp of you are a foreigner.

Back in the 80s in the uk my parents had to pay people to mind us when they went to work. And they were earning well. Even so there was a couple that used to beat us. A nice lady that smoked.

But they could pay because they were medical professionals. What is a person on factory clock going to do? No time, no money.

You don’t need the key fob to open the door using the buttons inside the car!

I said go and try it before you respond to me again.

Let me explain something to you. No car will pass certification if you cannot open the car from inside without the key or key fob. It is considered a safety hazard.

You won’t be able to open from outside without the key but you MUST be able to open from inside or else the Car will NOT be approved for sale to the public.

Like I can if you don’t have a car borrow your friends car and experiment.

Child locks only work on rear doors, a car will have the central lock button somewhere inside tha car.

She knows everything about car apart from driving. She would even set childlock herself for her younger ones and disable the childlock
when they're out.
