One very important question - where is the father? A married couple can co-operate to handle child care appropriately. Yes it might mean giving up some money and living at a lower standard. Long term planning is key.

She set up that child to die....she even drugged tge child to sleep and she confessed its not first time anyways:

It definitely is. Most people can and do get away with it, depending on how long and the time of day, and if nothing happens to the child and the authorities don't get involved. If it's to run to the store for 30-minutes to one or two hours during the day, then that's fine, but if it's longer (be it during the day or night), then that's a no-no. It's an even bigger no-no to leave them in the house or car alone while you go to work for 8, 10 or 12-hours. There could be an emergency of some sort and they might not know how to respond. Of course, they probably know how to dial 911 and most kids do (unfortunately this child didn't or I'm assuming she didn't have a phone and many 9-year olds don't) and when the Police show up you're going to have to explain why you left that child alone and for that long. There're states and provinces where it's illegal to leave a child under 10 or 12 unsupervised/alone at home or in a vehicle, so it's not about doing what you want because they're your child. Sane countries have child protection laws/acts to make sure kids are kept safe and parents like this woman don't abuse their power, endangering the child's life.

This story here is a painful one, very painful one. In this case, I think it is carelessness on the part of the women. I even read online that she sedated the child!

As for the Father nit being heard or seen in the picture, a lot could be imagine and if care is not taken, our assumptions can lead us to judge wrongly.

The Father could be an absentee one, he could be in another State hustling or even still in Nigeria (there are many cases as such), he could be dead etc. As a matter of fact. We don't know and trying to fill that part, we might just be wrong. Also, Disaporean should always build support system in their communities. I know it is hard from the stories we hear of their struggles but they shouldn't stop trying.

This incident is one of the many brute reality of Migrants in the States as elsewhere.

May God heal the woman, comfort her because the Anerican justice system will most likely punish her.

It is really a painful one.

How do you leave a 9 year old at home un-attended in a house full of potential hazards and you think its smart.
What happens if your 9 year old develops a fever or worst a convulsion (late febrile seizures), how does she receive the emergency care required. You will say its devils work.
The only reason you can say this here is because it is a faceless forum if not by now you should be on your way to Social welfare irrespective of the country you live even if its archaic Nigeria still some laws work.

Let me explain something to you. No car will pass certification if you cannot open the car from inside without the key or key fob. It is considered a safety hazard.

You won’t be able to open from outside without the key but you MUST be able to open from inside or else the Car will NOT be approved for sale to the public.

I was cooking meals, washing myself and going to school that's about 2kms from my house alone, did all of these at 9. There was this day when my uncle had some police issues and was really scared and confused, he decided to come late in the evening to tell my mum he'd appreciate it if she followed him to the invitation he got from the police, so my mum had instructed me to put some water in the kettle, boil and pour in the flask for my little sister's use when she gets back.
I woke up and she had already left, I knew where she went and quickly remembered the instruction she gave the day before, i immediately went to the kitchen, saw the kettle on the stove, assuming it was empty and not hot, I picked it up like I'd pick an empty cool kettle, this stove was about my height, I ended up spilling hot water on my face and chest, as my mum had already boiled the water and filled the flask, the quantity left in the big kettle was what I spilled on myself.
No one was home, in pains, I ran to the bedroom, turned on the fan, the pain got worse as the fan spinned, somehow I managed, my mum came back to find me on the bed, it was a hot afternoon, she instructed to take off my shirt, i did and that was when she saw my face and the skin that came off with the shirt, healing took weeks and till this day the scar is still visible to whoever looks at me very carefully.
A 9 year old is still a child, far from being an adult, and yeah when they say 99 degrees they do not mean 99 degrees Celsius, the unit is Fahrenheit, similar occurrences have happened, it is not the first.

She will have the law to contend with. She is wicked woman and mother! Horrendous conduct!!! Who she is fairly is obvious just taking a look at her!!!! Dishevelled lifestyle. I just thought about who fathered the child that got fried to death. Folks can be terrible!

I am not any accident waiting to happen..
She gets home with her sibling sometimes 10 to 30 mins before someone elderly joins them...and most times we pick her ourselves and drive home together.
She's growing strong and responsible with these little trainings.
She knows what to touch and what not to once she enters.
Nothing go happen to her.
Somebody that's in Jss 1 already..would you rather she stays with a stranger or roam about the street within that 10-30 minutes.?
Keep your curse to yourself and for yourself.
