I agree with almost everything you stated except two. Firstly for building high rises for housing and secondly that he is a professor therefore he should do better. High rises are for dense cities where there is much need for housing and very little space. For high rises there should be a lot of infrastructure that should be in place... 24/7 water and electricity ... efficient waste disposal and removal system ... fire prevention and suppression systems ... maintenance and robust security. Any one of these lacking or slacking is a big problem that can quickly turn such a project into a dangerous slum. Are any of these in place? Which brings me back to the point you made about having a water treatment plant instead of thinking entertainment park ...the kind which should be done by private investors. This leads me to the second point of him being a professor. He has vast information in whatever field but that doesn't mean he will be good at urban planning ...which you ..not a professor ..has shown to have better vision and have identified projects that should take priority over this "gimmick". Other than these two ... I'm with you 100% ... especially with what is the master plan?

My own with this project is he built it in a natural swamp area. What provision was made to prevent flooding since this is a flood prone area? Is it when the rains be pouring and flooding he will declare this is not the only area affected? ... and floods happen all over the world? Near sighted people everywhere.

Op, It's a good development but in terms of physical land area, Obudu Mountain Resort is much larger than Solution Fun City.
Solution Fun City occupies about 12.7 to 13 hectares (≈ 0.127 to 0.13 km²). Even Hi-Impact Planet in Ibafo, Ogun State occupies about 18.5 hectares (≈ 46 acres). It's an amusement park in the South West just like Solution Fun City.
Obudu covers tens to a hundred km²; Solution Fun City covers only a fraction of a km². Solution Fun City is not the largest recreational facility in Nigeria according to your post. Research properly to avoid misleading information.

Soludo might want the best for Anambra state. He might have the skills to do so. But he seem desperately running short of a real plan to work with.

For me Soludo is trying, in terms of infrastructure and other developmental strides. You have to consider Anambra revenue, both internal and external, though you consider borrowing it's not always favorable, and nothing like whom much is given much is expected, much is not given to Soludo he's working within the State means. He's taking every area of interest gradually. Again he said he'd continue other phases next term (if elected).

Transforming Awka to a city is a Herculean task. It may seem like mission impossible. At night, the town turns to a village. The beauty of Awka is along the Enugu-Onitsha expressway during the day only. It is such a weird town. From the Dora Akunyili Center to the back of the Government House all the way to UniZik Permanent site, one can easily mistake it for Angwan Rogo.

The only thing happening in Awka is UniZik. Many of those buildings in Awka are students' hostels and services that carter to students. Once students go on extended holidays or ASUU strike, the town shuts down almost completely.

They have to start somewhere..
The way the Chinese do it is to basically build up new areas and then start bringing down the old areas.
But it starts with a well drawn masterplan by good town planners.
As long as there is no good town planning and the laws on city developments are vague, the whole place will look out of sort..
