Who commits more genocide than pastors who still accepts tithes and offerings from people who worship in regions filled with insurgents?? Who commits more genocide than pastors and imams who fly private jets while their followers make up a vast majority of the poorest people in the country ![]() Real pastors and imams are scarce these days and it's so sad.... They preach one thing and do the other.... They prioritise material things over the well being of their people... How many times have these pastors visited these regions plaqued by insurgency in solidarity with their the Christians in that region?? How many times have the so called CAN protested in those regions agsinsg insecurity? It's not enough to sit in the comfort and security of your homes to claim genocide against Christians while these insurgents kill everyone in sight who does not believe in what they do... Be it Christians, Muslims, traditional worshippers... They don't care.... They kill everyone but the selfish can who are driven and fuelled by greed claim Christian genocide because they know that as long as insurgency in those regions continue, there will be limited offerings and tithes... If you want to do the right thing... Call for an end to insecurity as a whole because insecurity in nigeria these days don't know or recognise religion... They kill anyone in sight!!! They should do the right thing!!! |

fergie001:If what the terrorists are doing against Christians is called genocide then what would you called the killings of thousands of moslems across the North? Well, i checked the name of the CAN president who issued this statement and i wasn't surprised a bit. There is no dignity among these people of foreign religions at all. Nigerians are dying period. This wicked Arch Babalawo calling himself Bishop should stop labeling victims of terrorism by their religious affiliation as if the terrorists ask if you are moslem or Christian before throwing their bombs in the market place. A true Christian should think about humanity first but fake one will label the dead by religion. Shame |

The international community will be of great help... In my community in the north central, we go to church every Sunday with guns before we can worship in "peace" So much for freedom of religion I'll say. All of these terrorizing factions are one sect of Muslims or the other at the end of the day and yet, Islam is a religion of "peace" with great ideologies. |

No other proper term to call the killings than a genocide if the tinibu's apc govt don't like the word genocide that's been used to call it let him just stop the constant killings with federal might simple. Look at how the killers are pampered in plateau state without any order from the federal govt to flush them out from their comfortable camps yet they want the international community to believe there's no hidden agenda to wipe out christians in nigeria. |

APCNig:What does bokoharam represent? Bokoharam doesn't represent Christianity...it is an Islamic problem, they should deal with it, don't compare the death of muslims in the hands of bokoharam to that of Christians, bokoharam has said it is an enemy of Christians and targeted churches numerous times, they have seperated muslims and non muslims in the past, and eliminated the non muslims, if we keep denying to face the truth and deal with it, we will all regret. bokoharam is fighting to enforce Islamic sharia law across northern Nigeria and establish a caliphate, bokoharam have consistently said this. |

Most Christians are sell-outs. They are after their belly alone. Have you seen a muslim selling his own people for a peanut? Bwala, Reno, Akpabio and many others would sell their people for a peanut. When a Church dwells so much on prosperity, it will abandon the true gospel and pursue vanity. I feel the pains of Christians in the North. Most of us lack empathy as long as it does not affect us. |

IF THE CURRENT PRESIDENT OF NIGERIA TWITTED ON JANUARY 29, 2024, THAT: ''THE SLAUGHTERING OF CHRISTIAN WORSHIPERS IS STRONGLY CONDEMNABLE. IT CALLS TO QUESTION THE COMPETENCE OF JONATHAN TO PROTECT NIGERIANS.'' IF SOME SELF-SERVING POLITICIANS AND WICKED PEOPLE CLAIM OTHERWISE, THE QUESTION REMAINS TO BE ANSWERED IS THIS: WHEN DID THE ''SLAUGHTERING'' STOP, ESPECIALLY WHEN ALL VERDICTS OF SOME CREDIBLE ORGANIZATIONS WITHIN AND OUTSIDE NIGERIA CONFIRM THE WORSENED STATE OF INSECURITY? I PERSONALLY BELIEVE THAT EVEN THOUGH CHRISTIANS ARE TARGETED IN MOST AREAS OF ATTACK, PEOPLE OF OTHER FAITHS ARE NOT EXCLUDED FROM THE HEINOUS CRIMES. MY MULTIPLE PROFESSIONAL TRAININGS IN THE UK SUGGEST THAT VIOLENCE COULD BE A FORM OF PROTEST AGAINST THE SYSTEM BY SOME PEOPLE WHOSE PATIENCE HAS EXPIRED, AS THEY WRONGLY OR RIGHTLY PERCEIVE THE SYSTEM AS SCREWED AGAINST THEM. THEY COULD BE SO FRUSTRATED TO THE POINT OF CONSIDERING DEATH AS A BETTER OPTION TO LIFE, HENCE THEIR DETERMINATION TO FORCEFULLY DRAW ATTENTION TO THEIR CRIES. THIS COULD BE A RELEVANT PRAGMATIC THEORY AMONG OTHERS THAT COULD HELP IN MARSHALLING OUT THE REMEDIAL MEASURES. GOOD GOVERNANCE THAT IS PROACTIVELY PRODUCTIVE IN CREATING A LEVEL PLAYING PLATFORM FOR CITIZENS TO ENGAGE IN HEALTHY COMPETITION IS THE ONLY SENSIBLE SOLUTION TO THE MENACE. BUT WILL CORRUPTION ALLOW THE UTOPIAN DREAM TO COME TO FRUITION? A NATION WHERE THOSE IN PRIVILEGED POSITIONS STEAL THE COMMONWEALTH WITH IMPUNITY AND USE THE FILTHY LUCRE TO ENSLAVE THE PEOPLE IN PERPETUAL PENURY, WILL CONTINUE TO WALLOW IN VIOLENCE, NO MATTER THE SIZE OF SECURITY BUDGETS. SOME POWERFUL PEOPLE USE THE WEAPONIZATION OF RELIGION AND ETHNICITY AS A SCREEN TO ACHIEVE THEIR HIDDEN NEFARIOUS GOALS. THE PRESIDENT TO RESCUE THE COUNTRY MUST RESOLUTELY DECIDE THAT THERE MUST BE NO SACRED COWS AND UNTOUCHABLES IN THE SOCIETY. DESPITE THE SEEMING HOPELESSNESS, I STILL HOLD THE FAITH THAT SOONER THAN EXPECTED, GOD WILL USE HIS OWN METHOD TO CORRECT THE ANOMALIES THROUGH THE MIRACULOUS ENTHRONEMENT OR CONSOLIDATION OF THOSE WHO FEAR HIM. |
