Is there really a Christian genocide in Nigeria?

Like...Make we actually think this thing objectively.
i will say there has always been persecution of christian minorities up north - quietly supported by leaders.

but whenever you enable extremism - it will eventually grow to envelope you. that is where we are today.

Sultan condemn the killing and even called for the arrest of Deborah murderers.

Sultan is not Atiku who's a politician and will do anything to get votes even from extremists by pulling down that twitt.

Sultan has always been peaceful and he is doing everything to mentain peace between Christians and Muslims
Ok. Thank you for the clarification.

But he cannot say there is no genocide.

The people killing and displacing Christians in the north and middle belt are not atheists.

The same Borno BH started ba. BH has killed more Muslims than Christians.

Anybody can say anything. The Muslim guy displaced can equally cry Muslim genocide.

The reality here is different, forget all these one sided claim.
I should ignore the man standing beside his members' graves and believe the Sultan that has no skin in the game?

You call it one-sided claim, but you forget most western countries have missionaries up north where they see some of these things happen up close and personal. How do you think some of the reports about the average number of deaths are computed? Is it not from the eyewitness account of some of these missionaries?

If you are concerned about the genuineness of US sudden interest in the genocide that has been going on for long in the north, that is a very valid concern. However, downplaying it and making it seem the victims are crying wolf where there's none is unfair and irresponsible.

What the government should be doing is acknowledging the concern and putting up measures to put a stop to it going forward. They should be reassuring the victims, stakeholders and international communities that they are on top of the situation and things will take a good turn going forward.

He is right, there's no Christian genocide in the North. Those evil guys are killing both Christians and Muslims.
This is wrong.

The people killing have an Islamic agenda. That is a fact. They are Muslims. Whether they kill other Muslims or not does not nullify their Islamic agenda. If you check the ratio of Christians to Muslims killed it's like 10 to 1. The villages in the north and middle belt being sacked are predominantly Christian villages.

That the government isn't doing anything to stop them means they are complicit.

Is it corrupt? It was the same SC that made Obi governor over Ngige in 2006.
Don't twist things my friend. SC became corrupt since APC under Tinubu's influence.

The current CJN was the one that awarded Hope Uzodinma governorship despite coming fourth in the election with no evidence of winning it. That was when the corruption of the Judiciary started

I am a Christian and living in the North. Currently I am at work in a Muslim dominated area. I will not join anyone trying to bring tension to an already volatile situation by saying Christian genocide.

If by Nigeria you mean the Northern part of Nigeria, yes there is.
'

You just need to have a one-on-one discussion with a Christian from Plateau, Southern Kaduna, Borno, Benue state and nothern minority persons in their 30's and above to hear the kind horror dem don survive.

I was listening to radio program I think last week or upper week and one caller made a chilling confession. Listen to the video below, the caller's cousin brother was killed by Islamic fundamentalists who were going after Christians because CAN opposed Sharia law in Kaduna state in the early 2000's. He got a gun and went after the assailants to exert revenge thereby killing his Muslim friend in retaliation.

It's ur choice to speak or not to speak about what is happening probably because neither u nor ur loved ones have been victims.

However, u can't shut down people who have either been victims or have their families snatched away from them by religious killers. The Sultan also doesn't have a right to shut them down because his line of sight and authority doesn't extend beyond Sokoto.

That Pastor burying his members has a right to say things the way he sees them without u or anybody trivializing his experience.

Every religion is affected that's what I am saying. Everybody is affected. We should say the whole truth instead of being one sided. Nobody life matters more. A Christian life is not more important than a Muslim life.

There's nothing like that sir. Even in Northern Kaduna here, the Hausa Christians are practicing their religion peacefully.

Those guys killed anyone, they're demons. Those bandits. Hmmm

Go under the man's post and comment. He asked a pertinent question at the burial site; "Nigerian government came out openly and deny any Christian Genocide......Do you see any Muslim here?"

The fact that the man made a video to raise an alarm before the incident; the Nigerian military on its social media called it a false alarm, only for the attack to happen and he ends up burying his members. Go and tell us the number of Muslims killed in that attack make we know na.

Monerozi5590 someone who is in Lagos and his only experience living in the North is during his youth service is trying to tell your own experience that is a northerner living in the north- isn't this funny.

DeadPresidents:
Can’t lie, I don’t see being Islamophobic as a position to be morally ashamed of.

I and everyone in my inner circle: both of my closest friends, my woman and my relatives have escaped death at the hand of Islamists by the most slender of hairs. My best friend‘s family went from operating a thriving factory in Kaduna to being beggarly squatters in a village in Abia state.

I’m Islamophobic because Islamists have never given me a reason not to be "phobic" of them.

Who mad man don bite before dey take race when he see mechanic

If you’re a moderate you have a duty to pass a balanced viewpoint of the world to the next generation you raise.
DeadPresidents:
It’s cool to some people to play semantic games with word salads. Whatever you wanna call it, what’s happening to Southern Kaduna people is ethnic cleansing on a systematic scale. It’s expansionist in nature with the ultimate goal being the displacement of the indigenous people whose abode will promptly be resettled upon by terrorists.

Once again, fück this government and anybody down with them. And if you try to downplay the evil happening with semantics, then i hope you die slow muthafuka.
DeadPresidents:
The reason i made that analogy is simple.

Hamas are terrorists. The Israelis are oppressors. Maniacal Jihadists vs Genocidal oppressors. A match made in the desert.

I choose to be neutral.

I can not support terrorists as I grew up a Christian living in Kaduna South and actually was just 100m away from the blast radius of a jihadi suicide bomber in 2012 so I know first hand how evil Arab ideology is.

I can’t support Israel because I am a Nigerian youth who witnessed the Nigerian government oppress me and other youth with SARS and even commit genocide against unarmed protesters

That is my perspective on the matter. I don’t have to support either party
this is an actual kaduna indigene

We should do away with all the evidences of northerners who have come on social media to share their plight too abi? Is the man in the video burying his church members also a Lagosian who only spent one year of his life in the north?

Watch the video again and tell us his experience is not true. Shebi Monerozi's experience is S.I unit of all Christian northerners 'experience na. undecided

For those claiming that Kanu was illegally brought to Nigeria, Nigeria copied the United States and with Kanu's lawyer out there protesting, it seems they have 'Leverkusen' defence for the court case.

It's better to plead for leniency as it stands. "After God, na Government".

The annoying thing is how the educated elite will downplay some of these issues and trying to gaslight you instead of speaking against the evil acts/support government to put in measures to stop the evil.

The foot soldiers draw inspiration from this conspiracy of silence & hypocritical bending of mouth by the educated elites.

All banditry in the North is genocidal in nature, I guess what the Government is arguing is that it is not directed by them, but they are dealing with an insecurity issue.

I see Donald Trump's daughters father-in-law Boulos the Lebanese Nigerian has made this point to Trump. This is who should have been sent to die the matter in USA, rather than the farce organised by Reno Omokri

Was last in Kaduna 2020.

Christian genocide has been systematically ongoing for a long time now. The crux of the matter is, whenever a whole community is put to the sword and displaced, who are the resettlers? That should give you an indication if this is systemic or not. It’s one community at a time for a long time now. You only have a modicum of safety if you’re living in the city metropolis but even that needs only a tinder to ignite the spark of violence

Bandits are not wholly idealogically driven. There’s an economic component to it as they are killing and kidnapping all faiths but I’m yet to hear of whole predominantly muslim communities wiped out.
