| Re: My SpaceX Starlink Internet Experience In Lagos, Nigeria by jmaine: 8:02pm On Oct 14, 2025 |
fuckboys:Expensive what? No one is complaining, and I will never leave a Starlink for any of the other largely unreliable services... |

fuckboys:I used Airtel for about 1yr & 6 months and every single month I am in Airtel's dm complaining of bad network. True story, I had to check the dm to confirm. They only sort out the issue for like 2wks and u're back to complaining. At 57k Starlink is a better deal for most people. |

fuckboys:I'm currently testing the Airtel ODU with the 50Mbps plan, even though I have an active Starlink. I'm a curious person, so I like to test things out of curiosity. The ODU works flawlessly most of the time, however, there are times it starts to underperform and then I have to go into the settings interface and make changes, like stepping it down to 4G from 5G, vice versa. Sometimes I have to disable 5G or 4G, as the case may be. This could be because there's no Airtel mast in my estate. The nearest Airtel mast is kilometers away. Still, because of how good the outdoor unit is and the way it was positioned by my roof, I get good coverage on 4G+. I imagine those who don't have my technical knowledge of how these things work, would simply give up on Airtel and say, "Airtel is horrible and unusable where I live." However, Starlink, on the other hand, simply works. It's plug and play. You don't need to do anything once it has been installed and positioned correctly, avoiding obstructions. |

fuckboys:You make me laugh in Spanish. Airtel with it terrible network, or is it another Airtel you are talking about? Airtel is almost the worst network for streaming. As a matter of fact. I have 2 Airtel routers and their 5G router I have abandoned because of their disastrous network. I was always in their twitter and Facebook DM disturbing them about their terrible network. No network come close to starlink presently in terms of reliability |

People of God. My current Starlink location is the Redemption camp, around Mowe. However I'm moving to Lagos soon, say around Ketu. Is there a possibility of continuing to use it without needing to change address? If not, will I be able to change the address seamlessly? Will I need to pay an activation fee? |
| Re: My SpaceX Starlink Internet Experience In Lagos, Nigeria by Unfaized: 11:03pm On Oct 14, 2025 |
orimion:Move first and test in your new location. In most cases you won't have to change anything. |

Unfaized:Alright. Thanks. I'll give an update once I do |

What is going on with Starlink? I just got back to using Starlink after testing the Airtel ODU for two weeks and realized that Airtel caps the speed to 2Mbps after using 1TB. Starlink is virtually unusable. What on earth is going on with Starlink? I can't stream nothing. |

dustmalik:Wow. Since they rectified the change of ip thing last 2 days, it's been back to normal here. Could be Abuja oh |
| Re: My SpaceX Starlink Internet Experience In Lagos, Nigeria by ijeezlux(m): 6:13pm On Oct 16, 2025 |
dustmalik:Hmm. It's a little bit fair over here. At least today I have been streaming FHD channels and some 4K channels without any issues. Did you connect to your streaming device via ethernet cable or WiFi? |
| Re: My SpaceX Starlink Internet Experience In Lagos, Nigeria by dustmalik(m): 8:38pm On Oct 16, 2025 |
ijeezlux:Yeah, I always use Ethernet because of how unreliable WiFi is. It's very bad today. |

Hello All, i just got my starlink device and it is saying its at full capacity, does it mean i wouldn't be able to active the device? |
| Re: My SpaceX Starlink Internet Experience In Lagos, Nigeria by georgee(m): 10:33am On Oct 21, 2025 |
joburoh:You just got? Directly from Starlink (which I doubt) or through 3rd party vendors Jumia and co (most likely) . I want to believe you are in Lagos or Abuja which is at full capacity and Starlink is currently not activating/onboarding new clients . You will have to keep it and wait on starlink for activation when they are ready |
| Re: My SpaceX Starlink Internet Experience In Lagos, Nigeria by ijeezlux(m): 1:47pm On Oct 21, 2025 |
georgee:Not only Lagos and Abuja anymore, many more states are now at full capacity |

Hello everyone. I'm thinking of getting a starlink mini due to standard starlink's high hardware cost (compared to the mini). I just want to ask about what I'd be missing out on. Also, can the mini actually replace the standard for residential usage? Planned connected devices around 3-8 (phones, android tv and laptop). It'd be nice to know expected download and upload speeds (I know it's on starlink's website but I need a confirmed speeds if possible) I'm in Osogbo so starlink is still onboarding in my location. I plan to mount the mini so I won't be moving it. The price difference between the mini and the standard V3 is just too much for me (350k and over 600k) |

johnnyholtby:I will just comment on the speeds For us in Lagos where there's heavy congestion of users, our speeds are not that bad though.. I get between 50-100Mbps download speed and 15Mbps upload speeds Two smart Tvs Two android boxes 2 phones Tablets Laptops too The speed still serves me very very well. My starlink is V2 For you in Oshogbo where i think there won't be too much congestion irrespective of your starlink version , you should be fine with all the gadgets you want to use on it Cheers |

Thanks a lot. Even if it's 50-100mbps download in Osogbo, that's still usable for me. Starlink Mini it is then georgee: |
