Goodluck to all the qualified teams. As for Nigeria, gone are the era and enthusiasm of the Tunisia and USA 94, Atlanta(Georgia) 1996 Olympic and France 1998 Super Eagles. The present generation of Eagles left so much to be desired.

Lol, Nigerians have never had 'much hope' for Nigerian teams, especially with the way we used to blast Westerhoff back then

Even Atlanta 96, it was only when we bested Brazil in the semis that people got some hope

Nigerian football has never been good enough. Lack of enough youth coaches and lack of comprehensive youth programmes.

Something we need to improve on

To be more precise, Pele won his first world cup at 17 and the next at 21, although he did not play in the final of the second one due to injury.

One of the few countries in the world that does not need to build anything whatsoever to host the biggest tournaments in the world.

Hotels and transport infrastructure are pretty decent and all it's stadia are successfully run commercial enterprises owned by sports companies, councils and cities all with unique heritage

Will be fun cup tourney.

As regards messi, Messi was 18 years old when he made his debut at his first world cup, so he won't have beat Pele's record unless he was selected at age 14 for the 2002 world cup! Even if Argentina won

I really believe the d mand for tickets will not be as great as usual. Most of the people who would attend these games are immigrants ...and are likely to stay away because of ICE ... the tactics they been using to capture suspected illegal immigrants. The court has given permission for ICE to arrest suspects based on race....accent...colour etc... in reality...anybody Black or Brown...mainly Brown. Sad.
