chillex8:I changed brake pads and callipers two weeks ago and I started noticing this. Infact I did serious leg work. Callipers, break pads, upper arms, lower arms, shock absorber, linkages. Injust changed all. |

vivalavida:Your issue is from the rear brake apparatus. If your vehicle uses brake linings, open each brake drum and inspect. |

Okay cool, but I will advise you just your hand brake when you park, so the weight of the car won't rest on your gear... So I heard vivalavida: |

Please have you tried parking without hand brake? If yes, is the strange sound still there? vivalavida: |

Hello guyz, i have a Honda Accord 2006 power steering issue. So a leak was detected last week but power steering was soft, so the rack was fixed at Oyingbo. Abro ATF was used. However to my surprise after the fix, now the steering is kinda hard and not as soft as it was befr. The rpm still increases on turn when the gear is on D and on air conditioner so its not that the rpm is too low. Is it that the rack is permanently damaged and only way is to get a Tokumbo rack ? Or what can i do. Thanks |
| Re: Maintenance Tips For Honda Cars by Kaymax2222: 4:57pm On Oct 22, 2025 |
GentryAkinyemi:the steering rack leaking use to affect the pump so most times ones the rack Is fixed the pump might not have enough pressure again to give it the right softness you want. If you are sure that the rack has been perfectly fixed and it is not leaking again then let them try service the pump for you, you might be lucky and it will work if not just change the pump don't let them fix the pump for you oo because it is not gauranteed |

remi4ever:Update: I have been coming here to complain about my rough idling and vibration issue for a while now and I have been able to resolve it. Apparently the engine does not compress well anymore as a result of abuse by the previous owner. So yesterday, I headed to zuba with a friend of mine who's also a mechanic to get a replacement engine. The engine we got was so clean internally and externally. It was shiny and a direct toks. After about 3 hours the engine was installed. New engine oil 5w30 and filter was installed. Car runs silently and not a single vibration when AC and All electrical loads were applied. Not a single CEL too. Thermostat and original fan config remains. I took the thermostat from the new engine also as a backup for whenever this one fails. Thank you all for your assistance and guidance. God bless. |

Kaymax2222:Thanks for the feedback, but it was soft before the repair. Thats why i am confused. Is there a way to confirm the pump still has high pressure? |

GentryAkinyemi:take it to those people that fix it |

remi4ever:You have done well. I think Honda Accord K20 oil spec is 5w20. I use an R18 which has been running for 18years plus on 5w20. |

Good day every one , Honda CrV 2007 model. On cold start the car ,steam well and sound is ok , but when I started driving for like 10 minutes, The Rpm will be irregular while on drive , even if I am not pressing the gas pedal the rpm will go as high as 2000rpm , and then drops again to 1000 or 1500 , ... .. sometimes when it's at 2000rpm it will not drop until I press the gas pedal will force , which will high the rpm and make it drop , The irregularities in the rpm is annoying and it's affecting the performance and fuel consumption. I talked to my mechanic he said it could be over heating. Another issue I noticed is oil indicator flashing every now and then , I have too the oil it's still happening, I recently changed oil pump , cam shaft , crankshaft |

minista94:I'm trying to understand this part.. Weight of what? If your car is parked on level ground ,there's no need to apply your hand brake when parking Only when on an incline, that you apply the hand brake before engaging the gear to P. That's to ensure the parking pawl doesn't bear any weight |
| Re: Maintenance Tips For Honda Cars by minista94(m): 3:21pm On Oct 26, 2025 |
At least you understood the message, I use hand brake all time whether on a level or inclined ground HenryWilliams: |

minista94:It's Not What you "Heard"...it's What it is...break den Neutral den Hand brake den Park...try it you will see that the weight of the car will be transmitted to the Brakes and not the Gear!!! |

Androidking:Any help |
| Re: Maintenance Tips For Honda Cars by remi4ever(m): 5:07pm On Nov 01, 2025 |
Androidking:Check for vacuum leaks (especially around the intake manifold gasket and PCV hose). Clean the throttle body and IACV thoroughly. Bleed the cooling system to remove trapped air. Scan the car with an OBD2 scanner to check for hidden codes even if no light is showing. Check the ECT sensor, if it’s giving wrong readings, replace it. You mentioned you changed the oil pump, camshaft, and crankshaft, but the oil light still flashes. That’s serious o don’t ignore it. You should check these... 1. Low oil pressure despite new pump, maybe: Wrong oil viscosity (too thin) Blocked oil passages Worn crank bearings or camshaft bearings 2. Faulty oil pressure switch Sometimes the switch itself is bad, especially if it flickers only at idle. 3. Wiring/connector issue loose oil sensor connector or shorted wire. |

HenryWilliams:Oga stop unnecessary arguments. He is right by saying you should use your parking brake at all times. Read your car manual, it is there. You are busy arguing over weight of car, do you lose anything if you use the parking brake on flat surface? Does it remove anything from you? Also, when you park on flat surface with only your transmission park pin, the transmission is the only thing stopping your car from moving. Yes, there is little or no weight, but what happens when a car hits you when you are parked? On top of damage your car body, your tranny will also be toast. Use your parking brake AT ALL TIMES. It doesn't cost you anything. But you can choose to be stubborn, it's a free world. It is your car, not mine. |

Androidking:I think your electronic throttle actuator (throttle body) is toast. |

Does anyone know a really good Honda mechanic in Osogbo, Osun State? I'm tired of this guesswork. My dashboard is lit like christmas lights and the car jerks |

Please My Acura TL is doing Overheat, Any certified Mechanic around, Cele,Mile2, Ojo , anyone around this place. |
| Re: Maintenance Tips For Honda Cars by RyanAutomotive: 5:00pm On Nov 08, 2025 |
smatt1711:Hello there 👋, Overheating on an Acura TL can come from several critical points — from a faulty radiator fan, bad water pump, blocked radiator core, or even air pockets within the cooling system. Before recommending a fix, we’ll need to know the model year and engine type (e.g., 3.2L or 3.5L V6) so we can guide you properly and identify the right cooling setup for your TL. ⚙️ Ryan Automotive Workshop Professional Take: We’ve handled multiple Acura TL overheating cases at Ryan Automotive — most times, the issue isn’t just the fan or thermostat. In many of these vehicles, especially between 2004–2012, a weak radiator cap pressure or leaking water pipe near the throttle body also contributes to temperature rise under load. A full system pressure test and cooling flow check usually isolate the real cause before replacing any parts. You can reach out directly to Ryan Automotive Limited for proper diagnostics and repair — we’ll take care of it with the right tools and OEM parts support. Professional Summary: Before driving further, allow the car to cool completely and avoid topping coolant while hot. Then, confirm your model year + engine type, and contact Ryan Automotive Limited for guided diagnostics or to book service. ⸻ Ryan Automotive Limited Precision. Transparency. Excellence. Macmilla:Stop writing unnecessary long sentences. You come off as unenlightened. You don't need to engage hand brake at all times.. Who told you such gibberish? |
| Re: Maintenance Tips For Honda Cars by kingreign(m): 9:41am On Nov 09, 2025 |
HenryWilliams:You're the unenlightened one here sir (no offense meant). If this is how you drive or operate a vehicle, I won't trust you going anywhere near a car for good. Your car shouldn't be park and resting on its parking pawl or gear. You should use your parking brakes EVERYTIME IRRESPECTIVE OF TERRAIN
