The Senator representing Cross River North Senatorial District, Jarigbe Agom Jarigbe has dumped the Peoples Democratic Party, embracing the ruling All Progressives Congress.

Jarigbe was a two-term member of the House of Representatives representing Ogoja/Yala Federal Constituency before contesting in the off-cycle Senatorial election for Cross River North following the death of Rose Okoji Oko in 2020.

In a disputed election within the PDP (vs Stephen Odey) and Zanna Akpagu (APC) that was decided via a 4-3 decision by the Supreme Court, he was sworn-in as Senator representing Cross River North Senatorial District.

He was reelected in 2023, defeating then Cross River State Governor, Benedict Ayade.

The game theory. Keep your friend close and your enemy closer. But after the 2027 election, what would become of the enemy and the so called friend when they feel and become useless? Won't there be implosion?

Months ago, President Tinubu said the opposition with their political actions are going to force him to start politics sooner than expected and no one took it seriously.

And to those who are taking of a "One party state", it isn't the Governing party's duty to keep the opposition intact, heck The president himself said he will advice the opposition members to put their house in order but he can't deny being happy they are in disarray

Politicians are the same.Take their words at your own peril.The then lone PDP Senator in CRS promised not to decamp to APC, but just few months from when he made that submission, he didn't make good his so called promise.

What was he waiting when Eno the govetnor and the rest joined apc? Better late than never though.

We will make sure only apga remain in the South that is our mission because Soludo is doing well. Our left apc to LP and he will be back to apc for sure under Tinubu govt.

Sorry to tell those shouting one party nothing like one party plan at all but we want to make sure LP and ADC die a complete natural death.

They are even the one begging to defect to APC, if you're in doubt ask Mutfwang of Plateau and Osun's Adeleke. In these 2 states, the APC stakeholders are so strong that they are resisting the defection of the governors to their fold. I don't know where the story of APC arm twisting the governors to join their fold is coming from.

The decapees will still go back to their former political parties if they did not get nomination from the APC.

The last man standing in PDP Cross River has fallen. With Jarigbe's defection to APC, PDP is officially dead in the state. Cross River will be a walk over for APC in 2027.
