School was not accredited Hence the problem. Keep in mind that most universites are forced to charge very low fees, the education budget is also poor, and people in nigeria still live under the delusion that we are rich like saudi...so no change forthcoming in how the economy is run...to make more money. (I mean someone told me that 30 trillion is enough for 230 million people, lol. As a yoruba will say, Awon Omo saudi). Maybe some rich gent would step up and build facilites for the dental school. Lord knows we need more dentists. |

saintopus:You didn't follow the story earlier on, they admitted more than their quota and it prompts the students to protest around March or April. The issue caused a national outrage from various quarters and they were promised their problem will be looked into, maybe this is part of the solution |

saintopus:That school has been having accreditation issues. It's unfortunate that a federal university could be this shitty. |

Talkisneeded:During my time, we're asked to pay about 5 million naira to be transferred to a school in Russia or Israel( can't remember which) to complete school. Mine was as a result of accreditation/ excess students. Thank God we fought hard and later things got better. It was a very dark time in medical school but sha.... |

Namaster:.. The issue is that the school admitted more in fact almost x 3 of what they're supposed to admit.... Thier VC, a woman prof also confirmed it via press briefing. . So they couldn't graduate the students a NUC insist.... Seems they e been able to reach agreements with some schools that haven't exusted their admission quota for that course.... Seems they'll be taken in by those schools |

They'll enjoy RSU. The school well organized, stable, more beautiful, and standard. Only the expensive nature will be a challenge. |

We have a deficiency of medical personnel in Nigeria. Invest in expanding top medical school’s infrastructure and staff through the TETFUND and export doctors like Cuba for a fee to other countries You have a large educated population, it’s time to convert that to revenue generation with a better life for all |

Talkisneeded:It's always been deliberate. We're were about 1 thousand+ in year 1. Year 2 and 3 we're down to about 300..... Mind u from year 4 , 5,6,7 etc thru had to further divide them into a, b, c, d etc. And u have to wait for the students in front to move before u move. That's what makes or used to make medical school annoying in naija. I think Kogi and Abuja students had similar issues stay in year 3 for 3 to 4 years. |

Moving to a new environment won't be that easy for them, it might take time for them to cope, and gaining admission into a federal university and now having to continue in a state university is one that they have to bear. |
