**BREAKING NEWS:** *Aisha Buhari Must Testify in Court — Nnamdi Kanu Insists, Names Buhari as One of His Witnesses* The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, has made a dramatic revelation during his ongoing trial, declaring that one of his key witnesses has died, but that the late witness’s wife — former First Lady, **Aisha Buhari** — must appear before the court to testify. Speaking boldly before the trial judge, Kanu stated: > “One of my witnesses is dead, but his wife is alive — and by the principles of Nigerian law, she must appear in court. Aisha Buhari cannot escape this process; she has questions to answer.” The courtroom reportedly fell into confusion following Kanu’s statement, with murmurs and tension spreading among those present. Kanu, who is facing charges bordering on terrorism and treasonable felony, insisted that **Aisha Buhari**, wife of former President Muhammadu Buhari, played a “crucial role” in the events that led to his **extraordinary rendition from Kenya and subsequent detention in Nigeria**. He argued that justice demands her appearance in court to provide testimony under oath, adding that the truth about his abduction and treatment can only be established if all those involved are brought before the court. Kanu also named **former President Muhammadu Buhari** himself among his witnesses, alongside other high-profile Nigerian figures previously listed in his defense submission. The development has sparked renewed debate over the transparency of Kanu’s trial and the broader implications of compelling a former First Lady to testify in court. Observers say this new twist could mark a turning point in one of Nigeria’s most closely watched legal battles. |

These are the kind of negative vices nigerians, especially the youths should be speaking against to the pooithiefians and not the daily and senseless religious and tribal wars on daily basis. If the Nigerian youth like make dem get sense, but very soon all these useless pooithiefians will die and move on and we all will still be here dragging useless and irrelevant tribal sentiments that will end up keeping u unborn children in thee nigerian mess |

By the principles of Nigerian law, she must represent her husband? I don't know those who wrote that law, so I will think that it was drafted to serve a purpose at the time. However, the NASS should amend that law because it has outlived its relevance. Growing up, I watched how police men arrested and detained parents for crimes their children committed because the culprit was at large. It's time to do away with that law because criminality na per head! |

I now see why the learned SANs decided to leave the case for him. A witness is supposed to help your case. You are asking Her to stand in place of her husband, that's purely hear say and wouldn't be admissable testimony. |

asfrank:They are the ones teaching him comedy skit at background. That's why on Thursday, the judge said DSS should allow him have daily access to his visitors and lawyers instead of few days in a week. They only resigned to background services not to spoil their own reputation because on a normal ground, they know they can't win that case for him |

He has to first establish before the court why any of those he has declared compellable witnesses are in any way relevant to his on going trial. The lunatic wants to use the court room to insult and blame those he is demanding to appear as why he formed a violent terrorist organization. |

Another thrilling development in the ongoing saga of a certain IPOB leader's trial. It seems like someone needs to brush up on Nigerian law, because compelling a former First Lady to testify just because her husband is a witness doesn't quite fly. And what's with the sudden interest in including other historical figures as witnesses? |

Brosabblog:MNK keeps deceiving himself. He thinks the court is a place where he can just ask questions anyhow? Lawyers will object to those questions and the witness may decide not to answer the questions if they feel that the questions are not related or concern them. MNK is just wasting his time. |

What is the relevance of all these people this terrorist is calling as witnesses in his case? You can't just be dropping names to create content and satisfy your mindless mob supporters. People are not invited to witness in a duly constituted court on the pages of newspapers. There are processes and method to these things. In the meantime let Kanu and his lawyers continue their drama. We all know the ultimate aim is to delay and disrupt the trial. Kanu will soon accuse the judge of corruption and bias and ask for a fresh judge. We have seen it all before. . |
