The first sign of an incompetent leader as RB Sparkman puts it in his book, is when the supposed leader is focused on irrelevant issues, while automatically letting the relevants slide by. The least problem of a hungry man is the color of the pot he'll use to cook?!! Other continents have invented phone that can flip. They've sent man to the moon (although I believe it's a lie and a nonsense distraction that can't even be replicated because NASA claim to have destroyed the technology they used )They've invented this and that... and when the top technology giants are rubbing shoulders, I unfortunately find Nigerians attempting to raise and rub shoulders too!? lol ![]() Why? Just some months ago, I was in a SAED lecture here in Nigeria, where the speaker was talking about AI this and that. Then I asked myself, "what's gonna power this AI machines they're taking about!? is it candles!!?" Who is gonna operate this AI systems? is it hungry human beings?? We've so much lost our focus that we are dying as a continent and a country in particular. Nobody can sit and tackle problems at the root anymore, or Maybe the problem is not the tackling but the solutions implementation. Now lemme tell you all something, most of your children in primary and tertiary schools are suffering psychologically. They're just too scared to open up to you. Most of them don't want to become doctors and nurses and lawyer and pilots and all these bogus courses. Rockefeller said he wants a society of workers ad not of thinkers and it's is claimed he sponsored the modern education board that tells us which textbooks to read from and which academic figures that violate our screens and life with misinformation Your children only run to sign up for these courses because the outcome pays well, and or because they were forced by you the parents who don't care about the passion of your children. you just care about what people would think of your son is not studying engineering or if your lineage don't produce a lawyer. You'll soon die, cast and bind all you want...but to decide to ruin the lives of your children by pressuring them to study the course of which the outcome might not be what you'll live long to reap or 'profit from' Some of your children want to be barbers, tailors, hairdresser and shoemakers and tourist and so on. Some of your daughters just wants to be housewives who wish to know just enough from conventional schools to take care of herself, her children and her husband but because there's no food in the land and because of peer pressure and greed, the youths misguidedly run off the study courses that isn't going to solve their internal problems, yet alone solve the problems of their immediate environment. Give a Nigerian food and constant electricity, and watch us study run off to study courses like 'monkey urine minerals' Or don't you know that some of your daughters hate the sight of blood, even from their period... Now imagine you as a parent forcing this child to go study medicine and surgery...all because you want to be known as the father/ mother of a surgeon. How pathetic have your life become that you choose to ruin another for your selfish gains Take heed. It's not too late for a change. What you make others go through, you'll experience it too,one way or another. It's called justice ![]() |

You have your point. But the world is in a technological arms race. Whoever gets the latest technology in any field of human endeavour gains dominance. We must be seen to be competing or least trying to do so. It is better than sitting on our hands and watching others acquire the tools and means to colonize us again. We are not there yet, but let us try our best to be there; even if it means faking it till we make it. Selah! |

Nothing is ever permanent. What has dominance over another but oneself ever achieved? Learn from Adolf Hitler and other dictators. Where are they now ![]() Colonise us again? I answer this statement with a quote "No one is more hopelessly enslaved than those who believe they're free" Faking till one makes it is a silent killer. The one step to achieving something is to realize that you do not yet have it, but could get it. If you think that you have it, the zeal to work for what you already have could be lost HeatSeeker: |

Omo, you talk true, but make we no deceive ourselves, Naija still far from AI level. No steady light no proper labs, but hustle dey! Instead of joining global race, better make we use AI solve our own wahala like banking or farming. Small-small, we go reach there. For those wey wan learn more, this free course fit help https://www.coursera.org/learn/ai-for-everyone Just my two cents. Make we reason am. |

Well said... Just a buzz word for journalists and tech wannabes actually. Like many aspect of our society and culture ITK too much for our blood so we tend to be fooled along such line. Looking through forums and articles I'm yet to see a single use for it and come to think about the live room jargons going on. If I see you set ring light I dey carry your matter go brekete family or ODumeje church make you explain better. Person wey never sabi use torchlight phone go dey talk about Ai or ask Ai questions... More disturbing is the fact that using those chatbots don expose all our information to their servers and LLM wey still dey too advance to understand problems less context. Attention rate drop Assimilation rate non existent Scrolling social media sickness doubled Fraud above normal Political opinions non existent To add to it. We have Devs and engineers who we are hoping to understand these things better. But trying to prove everyone right will not make them work. With all that said I support the usage because obviously it will be more beneficial to speak or chat with an intelligent person than a dumb person but what comes after that na you sabi coupled with the resources and time wasted. Just a simple research into how it works you can sense someone is rubbing Peter to pay Paul. But shame is who even get sense to know the difference at these early stage of disaster. |

It is my belief that population people can be a beacon of Misinformation Because in a world where people don't think for themselves, someone who airs the viewpoint of the majority of people (who don't think for themselves) tends to be popular That's why I SMH at popular gadgets, scientists, pastors, clothes, food... anything trending in a place where the people brain has been hijacked is a no no for me, or I take with a pinch of salt. That's why I've had a problem with religion and conventional education The only time I use Google search engine is when I want to see what majority of people(who don't think for themselves) are thinking or when I'm not expecting an 'out-of-the-box' viewpoint on a partial subject matter Or I try to backdate googles data using 'before: 2012' included in my search, because I've noticed that most online pages are recent...old knowledge can easily be lost in the new. Because I know that a popular search engine... AI is dependent on the input given. It uses data fed into it... Whoever (person or company or companies) feeds the data and codes the AI can control the multitude of people dependant on the AI for their day to day live Don't be scared of the wolf in sheep clothes. Be scared of the wolf in Shepherd clothes The best way to control a man is not just to control what he reads but also whom he looks up to (religious, social and education bodies) Nigeria has no business with AI yet. Reverseng:You are beginning to sound nihilistic in your disposition ![]() First, you jumped on the bandwagon of the "men are not supposed to be materially wealthy" ish (complete bullocks), now this... Na wa for this your enlightenment. |

There is a meaning to life that I've come to understand: Positive/negative growth, courtesy of one's freewill granted by the creator This requires focus on what promotes one's growth The best way to be focused is not only to meditate facing the direction where the sun rises and stand In monkey pose. ![]() No! The best way to be focused is to know exactly what not to be focused on. Same way the best way to be happy is not to do happy things, but to stop the things that hurts you first Once again, you seem smart because you connected the dots about something discrete earlier. Now try apply your understanding to this: Whom do you consider a rich man? One who has money in his bank account to afford the best malaria drugs and world class Malaria treating institution OR someone who knows the herb/herb combo in his backyard and in the streets to take to treat malaria? A rich man is one who is independent of currency. There's a difference between money and currency. Money stores your true wealth and freedom because of its scarcity and tangibility, while currency can be printed at will. It's Fiat...backed by decree and not because it has any True value ![]() Dollar bill was the receipt for depositing your gold bars in the bank. America had to go off gold standard because gold was scarce and difficult to mine and the Americans needed a surplus of paper money to fund wars and spend like thieves The menu is not the food, same way the dollar bill is not the money. Verily I tell you, if you knew that currency was created from debt via a financial trick, you'd seek to be independent of currency. Spiritual currency= Courage, self love, accountability, fluidity, understanding, discernment The more you spend spiritual currency, the more you have of it. Physical currency= $1000, #1200 The More you spend physical currency, the less you have of it Spend $50 and you're $50 short ![]() Nihilism... lol This world is not mine. ![]() HeatSeeker: |

Reverseng:There are different facets of wealth. Likewise, there are different ways of acquiring them, and different states of consciousness through which the abundance of God's love can be truly appreciated (on every plane). Material wealth, which is the subject of our discussion is one of the many means through which God's love and abundance can be manifested for those designated to possess it in this lifetime and on this physical plane. Saying man was never meant to be materially rich is like saying man was never meant to access this aspect of God's blessings and love. It is a big lie. You and your guy missed it completely on this one. |

Totally agree with you. No nation has developed without adequate power supply. Nigeria a nation of 200+ million people barely survives on 4000Mw while Malaysia a nation of 30+ million people is using 40,100Mw yet we are busy making noise about artificial intelligence and electric vehicles. |

Enough is a psychological quantity, hence most people don't know when to stop acquiring, because most people aren't psychologically alright. Imagine someone using 4 phones ![]() You're too logical I guess. Logic is rigid. Only dead bodies are rigid. The living are suppose to be fluid. I released a recent topic on this. Hopefully things become clearer in Time Good luck HeatSeeker: |

Reverseng:This is one of the hallmarks of a spiritual neophyte. They resort to insults whenever what they perceive as truth is challenged. Embracing fringe ideas and conspiracy theories is not enlightenment. Neither is mouthing off on poorly thought out spiritual concepts a sign of inner development. Some seekers truly do not know their left from their right. You and the psychic will always be countered whenever you try to pass off funny ideas as truth. |

Reverseng:Where was that related to Ai? You seem to have a good write up don't necessarily mean its philosophically linked to Ai. But my point is in applications of it.... Like where these so call traders of options and stocks play with to scam mmm clients. For learning and content generation, Generative Ai's seem to be doing fine for those who know "exactly" what. |

I was talking about a scenario whereby 'internet engineers' create algorithms to power advertisements to appeal to the emotions for internet users so that they can be driven to buy what they necessarily do not need Example: A new model of an iphone or a luxury piece of gadget is released and there's advertisment to make people aware of it. But the twist is that iphone company could have easily added the new functionality to a wholesome model, instead of sabotaging models of their phones, just so internet engineers can work to create colorful advertising Dathrone: |
