Come to Kwara state or Abuja, stop making it look like Nigeria is a good country with a one sided narrative, everybody that lands in Lagos automatically says the country is good whereas they haven't explored the north to really know that the country is not really what it pictured it self to be.
Even in the Lagos, it's only the posh area they will take them to.
Did they go to Mushin, Orile, Okoko, Ikorodu, Oshodi and Agege area

Nope!

This can't be true!

How dare they say this when according to some bitter souls Nigeria is a zoo?

These American ladies must belong to the BATists or members of the N30K crew.

Seeing, they say, is believing!

The way and manner some very unpatriotic elements portray Nigeria to the outside world is that it's the worst place on earth fit only for troglodytes.

Believe it or not, Nigeria, our country, is the best place in the world!

If you have money you will enjoy Nigeria like those black Americans. If you earn less than 500k as a married man with a kid in Lagos monthly, your eyes will see shege. Hunger with big muscles, I mean thick hunger will make infrastructure in your stomach.

PANDORA PAPERS: Buhari visited Tinubu in corruption-tainted London villa acquired by Oyetola

Governor Oyetola, a relative of Mr Tinubu, may have sabotaged his own country by buying the exotic property as Nigeria made to seize it.

ByNicholas IbekweandTaiwo-Hassan Adebayo October 7, 2021 in Headline Stories, Pandora Papers Reading Time: 8 mins read

It was a meeting of two of Nigeria’s most influential politicians in London – President Muhammadu Buhari was visiting political kingmaker and senior member of his ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu.

In July, the presidency announced that Mr Buhari was heading to London for an education summit. The office also added that the president would also see his doctors for “medical check-up”.

Coincidentally, Mr Tinubu, who had travelled to London earlier, was also receiving treatment for an undisclosed ailment in the British capital. So, a perfect setting for both men to meet was created.

The migrant crisis in Libya and the Nigeria experience

The drive for survival and for greener pastures has continued to force millions of West African young men and women to gamble with death in attempts to cross over to Europe and other parts of the world. This quest to escape poverty, hunger, unemployment and insecurity, among other reasons, caused a major segment of Nigeria’s population to seek alternatives for better livelihood prospects for themselves and their families.

Those seeking economic survival see irregular migration as the best alternative, given the difficulty and resources involved in migrating through regular and legitimate routes. In many instances, very few of the original number who set out on these dangerous journeys live to tell their stories. While many regularly drown in the Mediterranean Sea, many also die in the deserts, and others are sold as slaves in a modern slave market.

Most of the victims of this trade are from West Africa. Many of them leave home with expectations of getting to Europe and other destinations perceived to have better economic prospects for them, but they end up in the slave merchant nets in North Africa. The victims are put in camps and sold in open markets in Libya, while the international community watches in silence. The geographical location of Libya renders it a transit route for migrants journeying to Italy and many other parts of Europe.

Perhaps it’s the whole of Chicago that is a ghetto place, which is why Reno did the documentary below.

The level of damage that insecurity has done to our tourism sector is monumental.

When I visited Dakar and Banjul last year, I noticed how foreigners were trouping in to visit their tourist sites.

There was this particular day I counted 107 luxurious buses filled with tourists. I did some random calculations and the figures I got were mind blowing.

Once intending tourists mention visiting Nigeria, their consular staff would either remind them of bandits, kidnappers, suicide bombers or even scammers.

Personally, I didn't use to take all those Security Advisory serious.. But after I toured those countries, I realized that there has a been a quiet shift.

Nigeria has lost its glory in the area of tourism. I don't want to even talk about how much revenue has been missed.
I agree with your general point but which quiet shift? Those countries have always been tourist hubs, and Nigeria has never been one right from the days of independence. This is how it has always been. There's no shift. Our leaders simply need to recognize tourism as a potential source of revenue and do the needful, which Lagos seems to be doing.

Of course, I am for real!

I can't afford to denigrate my country because of the bad actions of a few people.

Poor leadership has always been mentioned as one of the reasons Nigeria is not where it ought to have been.

However, the negative contributions of unpatriotic citizens, like you, hasn't helped matters either.

Poor leadership and unpatriotic citizens are the bane of Nigeria.

Despite these shortcomings, however, I can't join mindless people like you to disparage my beloved country.

You won't hear an American saying negative things about their country despite the daily shootings of innocent people on the streets or school children in their schools.

They would always say: "God bless America"!

The USA is almost 250 years old whereas Nigeria is just 65yrs young.

Rome was not built in a day!

Learn to blow your own trumpet!
