Solution to the security challenges in Nigeria is not about changing service chiefs. Its about changing the rules of engagement and equipping them with superior weapons. Go to their camps and smoke them out. Use the soldiers and airforce at the same time. Engage the use of drones. When they wanted to get rid of ESN in the east, they knew what to do. But they just seem unconcerned with the bandits and herdsmen. The overall blame goes to Mr President. He is the commander in chief of the armed forces. Its better to die fighting than to live like a coward. Our leaders beginning from Mr President should not think he will not be affected when these terrorist eventually overwhelms the military. |

koning:My reason for opposing coups is that we can't truly predict who will lead afterward. We might end up with someone like Idi Amin, who could be a tyrant and only removed through a counter-coup. No matter how badly the current president is, he can't serve more than two terms. After that, he leaves, just like Buhari. People who support coups haven't lived through the military era. |
