Anyway.. Nollywood movies are meant for people like you.

Just this morning, I was telling someone that only low IQ-ed individuals can enjoy a nollywood movie.

As a matter of fact, I can't stay 10 minutes on a nollywood movie.

“Your ability to create and recreate yourself is what makes you a great actor” my mentor once told me.

I’ve seen Arnold Schwarzenegger act in KIDS SPY as children villain. I’ve seen some Hollywood great actors like Samuel L. Jackson do voiceover for cartoons. Your ability to adapt makes you great. That’s why I always respect for Mercy Johnson because of her speed in adapting to any role.

Which mediocre leadership do I support?

Actually it is called acting because you are expected to have a range of characters you can portray either by looks, character or mentally.
Tom Holland is a good example of a grown up man who plays a teenager role as spider man.

Robert downey has played the role of a black man with a black accent.

Plus the script and the director know what they want and who they want for a role irrespective of age or identity.

Lets be guided. The world of movies is a make believe. Believe if it is made well. It is only a problem when the actor or actress fails to bring the character to life.

For anybody who thinks otherwise i suggest you go watch central comedys Key and peele comedies.

The duos have carved a niche for themselves over decades with been able to portray any and every character possible irrespective of age, ethnicity, skin color, wahtever

You are just jumping to wrong conclusions. IQ has nothing to do with the matter of pleasure and religion. If so, I would have said only low IQ people practice religion, but I wouldn't do that. There are other things attached to life. What amuses you and give you erection is different from what does that to others.

Roles should be designated by considering so many things, the problem with many directors is that they always feel that the introduction of new faces may hinder the movie success so they always make use of the old faces and make them act roles that doesn't fit their looks .

We talk about Nollywood as if much is expected from them.

Free them abeg.

The days of their glory are well past. The problem still lies in the fact that any field in Nigeria that is suffering more badly than others is simply because those who populate that industry are not the smartest in the society but are those that failed at some other things.

There were times, those days, in which Pete Edochie, Nkem Owoh, Patience Ozokwor, Sam Dede, Sam Loco, etc., were not failed projects of other fields but ventured into acting as their passion and therefore developed a TALENT from that.

All these actors are simply boys who failed in their bid to become the PA to their local government chairman or ladies who didn't do well in their ashatata business. Nothing concerns them with creativity.

It's not the acting it's the story and setting

The guy next door is always watching nollywood and doesn't know how to keep it down. What I noticed is that they are always shouting in movies. Simple conversation between actors are had at the top of their voices, always yelling and then crying the whole sound is just too terrible then loud music in between scenes. I'd rather gouge my eyes out than subject myself to such level of injustice of sitting down to experience that cacophony of screeches
