Let's try to correct the "menas" instead of "means" on this thread topic. From what i have read, its a plus for our financial systems and it opens us up to more services in different markets without the doubts of compliance/trust hanging over our heads. |

ChiefOloye:The opposition does not mean well for Nigeria, they are just after seizing power. Imagine Nigeria getting added to the list, it would have trended so wide since the news broke. Make Nigeria succeed! |

Kindered:Really? While I can't defend few of his policies and politics, one factor is certain, Asiwaju means well for Nigeria. However, it's unfortunate that the dynamics of our politics really make it difficult to function as President in a multi cultural country like Nigeria 🇳🇬 |

No amigo. It doesn’t. While it’s a good outlook, debatably so, but it only shows that anti-money laundering and counter-financing of terrorism (AML/CFT) policies are being implemented by financial institutions. For simplification Nigeria has always had a 1m limit for individuals and 5m for businesses, I believe the enforcement is now better hence the delisting. As for investors confidence, they careless about money laundering, they’re here for the money, some even practice capital flight against local laws. If we had a vibrant stock market, maybe money laundering would be a factor, but that’s not the case. Other regulatory bodies influence investors confidence. If you’re in doubt visit the FATF website. And who says we are not being evaluated for blacklist with the sudden surge in insurgence?
