At the end he is telling the court that he doesn't submit to it's authority and will not respond to the allegations made by the prosecution.

He is in effect, now telling the court to base its findings and conclusions on the presented evidence by the Government .

This can not be used in anyway to appeal further his case in a superior court since he refused to put up a defense on the allegations against him.

So what is he going to use to appeal in future ?

It appears he has resigned to his fate.

He knows that anywhere he turns, he's fried! He wants to leave room for sentiment. They thrive on sentiments in that region.
Plus, except you're from the core North, a Boko Haram or its sister agency (Bandits), you're not bigger than the State. It's grand delusion to think that you alone can change a lawless system, lawfully or otherwise.

But the court said that he has a case to answer and should open his defence. This means a prima case has been established against him requiring an answer. With this time wasting, the court should overrule him and ask him to open his defence. Thereafter, he should be shut out and sentenced accordingly. The penalty for his offences is 20 to 25yrs imprisonment with hard labour. He is getting nothing less than that

You better wake up from your slumber. A case has been presented, it's your turn to defend yourself and you are saying there's no case. That's up to the judge to decide not the criminal accused.
He better start his defense instead of hoping for release due to all the noise from IPOB Igbos.

You forget Simon's case wasn't handled in the country.

Justice Omotosho and those behind him really wants Kanu to provide those witnesses.

Kanu is now afraid those witnesses might give him the boot at court.

Imagine calling Lagos State governor to stand as witness for you. In a case like this. When I saw that news, I felt it's either a lie or Kanu don shayo...

See ipob that were jubilating he listed high profile political witnesses for his defense, now they're changing tune seeing the Kuje lord don dey fold.. We thought he would be putting fire on the ass of those witnesses, we thought ipob were saying Wike & co go hear am but guess what, he doesn't want to call any witness again
I love the judge, let him keep setting the trap for him while the kuje lord keep walking into it. We knew already that his delay tactics was to buy him more time. He knows he's finished but only creating false hope for his ipob supporters.

If as he claims that there is no case for him to answer , then refuting all the prosecution's allegations should be easy then.

The judge who is handling this case however said he does believe the Kanu must respond to the allegations presented by the prosecution which means the judge sees justification and evidence backing the allegations.

If your kanu sees no evidence linking him to the charges he is facing he should simply dismiss each allegation with superior arguments .

I will advise his family members and legal team to visit him. The Ohaneze Indi Igbo is not left out on this. He can be frustrated and depressed at this time and leaving him alone is not the best for the image of the Indi Igbo at large. Forget about all this online hyping, he needs attention to be upright emotionally. Probably his lawyers had told him there will be no way out which was why he decide to stand in for himself but going through the case files, he also gets the picture clearer........This is just my humanly contribution. Before we belong to tribes, we were first humans. Finally, everybody, the nation etc all need justice.
