Who can compete with dangote in Nigeria.

The incentives given to dangote cannot be given to any business concerned in the country

Remember how he was given cheap forex to build the refinery

Don't don't mind those greedy people, they have been collecting 100k from each taner driver carrying petroleum daily for years and could build even a mini flat, et them go and borrow money and build their own refinery and put dangote into competition,
The mann complaining is from pessagan pretending to be ordinary Nigerian

He also borrowed from banks to build the refinery. Not just cbn. Most of his money was on form of loans.

Banks gave him loan because in case of default, they take over his other industries and pay.

Also, subsidy kept other people from setting up refineries. Low ROI.

Pipelines is the best way to transport petroleum products.

The pipelines were shut down alongside the refineries to create room for dangote

That’s is how it is done all over the world!

Big players get government incentives and not new to Nigeria alone. Elon Musk, Bezos, Bill Gates, Mark and the likes get it.

If you do same, the government will support you.

Is it not better than importing from Europeans refineries who don’t even have crude oil.

America president will do everything to protect and support American businesses while black man is trying to undermine a black man business so he can import fuel from his slave masters .

You people will just come online and lie as if other people don’t have access to TV or newspaper.

Which working refinery was shut down? Same one that gulped billions and still cannot operate at full capacity?

If you don't want the monopoly, go and build an oil refinery and compete with Dangote. Last I checked, Nigeria operates a free market economy.

You people should stop this nonsense Nigerian mentality of always using emotions and parochial sentiments to stifle societal growth huh!
You said it all!

If anyone is pained, they should build their own refinery and compete with Dangote.

As in, some people are just out of this world. In his mind he has made a strong argument by throwing up the monopoly card. How many functional refineries does Nigeria have? Dangote shouldn’t distribute his products again or what?

Which one is Dangote wan finish Nigeria?
It’s always good that people like that reveal themselves once a while. It reminds you that the jealous and envious ones are still around on Earth, and ready to wreck havoc and doom if given a chance.

Imagine if Dangote was his friend, he would have lured him to the bar and poisoned him.

Nigerians are not used to businesses operating at scale and efficiency. we are used to imported tokunboh rickety trucks, with bald tyres and the tank welded by local welders.

This is what happens when a man investS $20B in a business. I can bet you each of those brand new smart looking dangote trucks costs less or the same as the ricketty tokunboh fuel tankers. Thats barganing power of scale at work. when you are buying 10,000 trucks, the manufacturer can even sell to you at cost or even a loss knowing he will make his money on service parts. meanwhile you are buying tokunboh, the foreign dealer wants to make 20%, the nigerian dealer wants to make 30%. you will then fabricate the tank in Nigeria at more than the cost of a factory tank fabrication in china. Dangote will replace the trucks after 5 years and sell to you the one man retailer at the same price he paid for it new.
Nigerians think they are businessmen because in Nigeria no matter how inefficient you are you add 100% to your cost and somebody will buy, Nigerians dont understand business, everybody wants to be the owner of an inefficient small scale business.

Dangote did not stop anyone from building a refinery, at least during the time he built his. Obasanjo sold the refineries to private investors, one of which was Dangote, before leaving office. However, Yar'Adua revoked the sale. Who knows, by now, all these refinery things would not have been a problem?

There is the WalterSmith refinery in Imo and the upcoming BUA refinery in Akwa Ibom. The above comment is apt because when billion naira businesses are run, they are done so efficiently and ruthlessly. Olam utilises new trucks to transport goods from the north to the ports, just as Wilmar operates its oil plantations (hectares of land) in Cross River professionally. I have said it that Nigerians are not that entrepreneurial, but at best, traders.

What Dangote is doing is entrepreneurship.

Nigerians naturally have this mob mentality to destroy and never for building up.

A lot of our roads are dangerous to use... State roads and Federal roads.

Dangote actually fixes roads, probably not everywhere. I know for sure it was Dangote that made the road to my dad's hometown because they have a cement factory in that area and several trucks coming in. The roads were terrible before, Dangote fixed it for that area.

So,an individual raised alarm because he saw Dangote Trucks 🚒 in a large contingent and 'fear Unfair Advantages ' ,
Yet,same man could not go to other Countries- from Benin- Republic- to Ghana and see large contingent of same Dangote Cement Trucks, abi?
When about two months ago, same Dangote said he had purchased Large Trucks for Fuel ⛽ Distribution, where are these Nigerians then?
Where are Nigerians- as to why GOVT- NNPC AND ITS SUBSIDIARIES COULD NOT DELIVER THE CHEAPEST FUEL AND
CHEAPEST GAS SUPPLIES - Because of Bureaucracy and Corruption?
• For Example - a 12.5 kg - gas Cylinder has Increased from N11,000 to N17,500 yesterday where I went to Purchased it.
•What Is Our Government ( the Federal,States, the Local Govts )- doing about it? The People are SUFFERING!
-Recently,in the News is a Former NNPC- Official ,held in USA,for having $2.10 Millions in his Accounts.
• The News is everywhere.
Today, Dangote is Expanding his Lagos Refineries to be the Biggest and Largest of All the World 🌎 Refineries, yet :
- where are Other Billionaires in Nigeria?
What are they doing in Employment of our Youths and the Masses?
-WHERE ARE ALL THE Nigeria -Governors - in all this? They Are Mute 🤐!
Where Do They Invest Our Money 🤑,once they Collected from the Federation Accounts- on quarterly basis?
-For the States in Nigeria and the Towns and the Villages- Are NOT Seeing Any Developments of Basic Amenities- like good road 🛣️,
Regular Light 🚨 🕯️,
Education and Hospital 🏥 - being Established!
•These Are The Questions ❓ we( NIGERIANS )should be Asking Our Politicians- instead of wasting time and energy by Una Union Leaders always looking for Excuses -to go on Strikes!

A Nigerian man has raised concerns after recording hundreds of Dangote fuel tankers lined up on a highway. He claimed that the billionaire businessman, Aliko Dangote, might be planning to dominate Nigeria’s petroleum industry.

The Man needs to be examined, it could be suffering from mental health condition.

If somebody can just wake up😴⏰ and spewing gibberish for public consumption and expecting the general public to look into it is somehow daunting undecided

It's so unfortunate that some of us have this kind of mentality. Are those driving the trucks not fellow Nigerians? Are they not feeding their families from it?
Why raising alarm in what benefits the entire nation as a whole?
What better alternatives have you brought forward before raising unnecessary and ignorant alarm on another person's business?

If you know how many individuals wants to build a refinery even more efficient than that of Dangote you will be amazed.

But DPR and ministry of petroleum resources has blatantly refused them license even after putting them through the first two stages. Nigeria is far too corrupt to exist as a nation. Nupeng are just the agberos, they just want to eat but you see what Dangote is doing, it's dangerous. Remember when cement was N700-N1500? It was this veil practice of Dangote that took it to 5k, now it's almost 11k.

Pray for your country!
