Abia Police Rescue Three Children, Arrest Mother For Selling Own Children by Metrix147(op): 7:47am On Oct 28, 2025
The Abia State Police Command has successfully reunited rescued children with their families and apprehended two suspects over alleged conspiracy and child trafficking.

In a statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Maureen Chinaka and made available to ABN TV, the suspects, identified as Chinasa Ukachukwu (30) and Adaoma Sunday (30), were arrested following a report that led to the rescue of three children.

According to the police, the case began when Mrs. Chinasa Ukachukwu, widow of the late Mr. Ukachukwu Ojimadu, reportedly left home with her four children on October 4, 2024, claiming she was attending a child dedication ceremony in Aba. However, she returned two days later with only one child and could not account for the whereabouts of the remaining three.

Acting on credible intelligence, detectives of the Command arrested her alleged accomplice, Adaoma Sunday, leading to the recovery of the three missing children in different locations — Aba, Lagos, and Anambra. The children have since been reunited with their families, while the suspects have been charged to court.

The Command also confirmed that, following an earlier press release on October 10, 2025, regarding the rescue of eight infants and ten stolen children, two Lagos residents, Mr. Akinrinola Aliya Ayomide and Mr. Oladapo Olanipekun, have successfully identified and reclaimed their children with valid documentation.

Life in Nigeria currently reflects a distressing reality, reminiscent of the darkest periods in Israel's history, marked by profound hardship and suffering.

If they're not doing drugs it's child trafficking or selling their children. They never cease to amaze us.

And you haven't sold yourself to slavery?! There is no justification for this. Even though it is evident that it is what has been playing out in that part of the country for so many decades.

This requires further action by Lagos State Government and Lagos State Police Command. Radio Lagos should help renew the campaign against and awareness on Gbọmọ Gbọmọ from those places in this report.

30 years of serious hardship to continue in jail and yet no end in sight. Smh.

This is the outcome of a whole lot of things but central is a pattern of horrible life choices and self-sabotaging wrong companies.

But on social media, we were made to understand that people are living in affluence there. I don't actually understand what people stand to gain by continously lying to themselves even when their situation is very clear to even the blind.

The consequences of producing kids you cannot cater for .

Nigerian parents dont think of unforeseen consequences like loss of jobs , death of a parent etc .ITS ONLY GOD WILL TO MULTIPLY And God will take care of them.

Both the parents of children are responsible including the expired husband .

Then go ahead and sell your relatives and 'graduate' to selling children of other people from Aba to Lagos?

Pathetic!

Firstly, historical accounts show Israel experienced migration and brain drain, not self-imposed slavery.

Secondly, just because some individuals are faring better doesn't mean the situation is universally positive. The masses are struggling, with the government seemingly unresponsive to their pleas. Even if the current hardship isn't extreme enough to prompt desperate measures like selling children, the prevailing sense of urgency and discontent is starkly different from Nigeria's more prosperous past.

Selling of children didn't start today in that part of a baby factory Nigeria nah. So, it's not like it about hardship. Why are other parts of Nigeria not known for this particular crime too.
