Dangote is the correct NNPC! What they could not achieve in decades,
one man has done in a few months. How O wish we can eradicate corruption in Nigeria but it's difficult because corruption has now become a culture.
So you see all the steps dangote is taking and you call it private business

No private business person can take such steps in nigeria oil industry and succeed

Think well

The era of fuel subsidy is gone forever,so you don't expect the fuel cabals to fold their arms and do nothing ,is just like a criminal which only source of making money is stealing ,so no matter what a criminal person will always be a criminal,I know is just a matter of times, Nigeria will surely be better.how I wish all the governors can actually sit up and do something great with all the allocations there are recieving,do you see or hear any of the governors complaining about the president , because the president as already shoulder a lot of their burden.
Lolzzzzz 🤣

Fuel cabals indeed as if they're ordinary nigerians that can be tamed

Subsidy is gone and they are still announcing large amount of fx for petrol importation, so what's the motivation

You are also using style to exonerate tinubu by throwing govs under the bus

Can you state what you expect governor to do that could improve the living standards of nigeria

Please what is happening to the refinery that worked before?
You are still waiting for nigeria refinery

You are the kind of people that will vote tinubu again when he lie to you that he will do refinery and Atiku want to sell refinery

Like I said, Nigerians don’t understand business. That’s why we have no mega corporations and when one emerges we start to shout monopoly. Do you how many years the amazons, metas of those world operated at a loss before they became profitable? You’ve been using YouTube Twitter, WhatsApp and Google for free, you think someone isn’t paying for it? Now you are hooked they start charging you or monetizing by including ads. But alll the while you were using it for free they were making a loss.

What you have displayed is the typical
Mentality of a Nigerian businessman which is why we remain small time. That’s why you sell hundred items when your mates sell in tens or hundreds of thousands.

A typical motor vehicle has 30,000 parts. If you were to buy each part individually it will cost you up to ten times the price of the car. The money in volume auto manufacturing is from service and parts sales. That’s why a manufacturer will sell at a loss if need be because in the life of that car he will make his money from parts.

That’s why Nigerian manufacturers like Innoson can never grow or compete because they want to make money on the initial car sale instead of pushing out as many cars as they can at whatever cost. Not understanding that a car is just an assembly of parts that will wear out over time and be continuously replaced. If I don’t buy your brand I can’t buy parts for a car I don’t drive and like I said parts and service is where the money is. If I sell you a car and give you a 3 year warranty, you must service the car using my parts for your warranty to be valid, so whatever money I lost in selling the car I will make back in service parts which can be up to 10x the cost but I must first lock you into the car.

Nigerians are traders not businessmen.

This is just jealousy and petty thinking.
Go and get your own money and compete.
There is nothing like a monopoly here. Buying trucks is not rocket science and there is no law that stops you from buying yours!

Man Raises Alarm After Spotting Hundreds of Dangote Tankers, Sparks Monopoly Fears

A Nigerian man has raised concerns after recording hundreds of Dangote fuel tankers lined up on a highway. He claimed that the billionaire businessman, Aliko Dangote, might be planning to dominate Nigeria’s petroleum industry.

According to reports, the new fleet of trucks owned by the Dangote Group runs on Compressed Natural Gas (CNG). Each truck is designed to transport refined fuel products such as petrol and diesel directly from the Dangote Refinery to filling stations across the country.

The company reportedly plans to deploy about 4,000 CNG-powered tankers in total. These trucks are not only fuel-efficient but also help reduce logistics costs when compared to diesel-powered vehicles.

This move, however, has stirred controversy among independent fuel marketers. Many believe it gives Dangote an unfair advantage that could lead to a monopoly in the petroleum distribution sector. Despite the criticism, Dangote Group insists that the decision is purely strategic and aimed at improving efficiency and cutting costs.

By handling its own logistics, Dangote is seeking to distribute fuel products directly — bypassing independent marketers who traditionally dominate the supply chain. This new system, which is expected to fully take off by August 2025, represents a major shift in Nigeria’s fuel distribution model.

With a capacity of 650,000 barrels per day, the Dangote Refinery is the largest in Africa and one of the biggest single-train refineries in the world. Its massive production scale has raised fears that it could control a significant share of the local market and influence fuel prices nationwide.

Industry groups such as the Petroleum Products Retail Outlet Owners Association of Nigeria (PETROAN) have warned that the move might cripple smaller marketers and cause job losses. The Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG) has also clashed with the company over labor-related issues.

In response, Aliko Dangote has dismissed claims of monopoly, urging other investors to build their own refineries instead of “using the cry of monopoly to stall growth.”

The company also explained that its decision to invest in CNG-powered trucks and manage its own fuel distribution is a response to market challenges, including boycotts and what it described as “unfair competition” from fuel importation cartels.

Dangote further noted that over 30 refinery licenses have been issued to private companies in Nigeria — including BUA, Aradel, and Waltersmith — showing that the market remains open for competition.

He emphasized that the Dangote Refinery has transformed Nigeria into a net exporter of refined products, improving energy security and reducing dependence on imported fuels.

To promote transparency and broader ownership, Dangote also announced plans to list the refinery on the Nigerian Exchange (NGX), allowing ordinary Nigerians to invest and own shares in the company.

Really, so you will route pipeline to all gas stations right. Trucks are meant for distributions and pipeline can't do that.
Between moving petroleum products via pipelines from Lekki to other parts of Nigeria and using trucks, which is economical and more sensible?

Trucks should mainly be for intra state distribution and not inter states or region distribution.

.

Those trucks are for distributions to gas stations, home delivery and offices for products bought i liters. How will pipeline work in distributions in liters? Pipelines are for specific locations just like vessels are for bething at specific depots. How many Pipelines are you going to lay to all filling stations in lafos or how will small liters like 5000 liters be delivered to Buyers? We are not talking about crude here, we talking about movements of bye products of crude like pms, AGO, dpk. Dangote is into petroleum product haulaging.

That's why haulage bizness owners are not happy cos dangote delivers transportation free to any buyer from his gantry.

Have you seen them on sitehuh

You can't imagine how corrupt the upstream sector is until you engage them in anyway.

I once knew a man who came from Canada to build a refinery he had held the license for during GEJ'S government but Buhari came in and withdrew that license after investing lots of money to run down the first two phases including clearing the site with machineries.

You don't know Nigeria too well. It's a corrupt cesspit

That’s what separates a trader from a businessman. A trader can’t see beyond his nose. A trader must make money on every. Sale. A business man sees the big picture and will even give you the product for free till you are dependent on his ecosystem then he makes his money from parts or subscriptions.

You are using WhatsApp, Twitter, Google and Facebook now, would you have paid for it when it first came out? No! But you are paying now whether you know it or not and you haven’t got a choice whether you like it or not. You are using AI now Abi….be prepared to pay when you become addicted to it.

Your mindset is one reason why Nigerian businesses are rarely ever truly big. Like I said the average Nigerian business man is a hustler or a trader not a true businessman. This is also why you don’t see an Ibo man for all the tales about their business prowess on the recognized billionaires list. The majority of them are traders with a trader mindset.
