Why did the police charge a murder case to a magistrate court when they know that a magistrate court does not have the jurisdiction to try a murder case.

Are they doing it just to have the people locked up and awaiting trial for a long period?

I made comment when she was found buried behind her home that she was killed by her community people, people she knew
