Russia leapfrogs America in military technology yet again, demonstrating its "Burevestnik" cruise missile that has UNLIMITED range. It can circle the Earth many times, loitering in the atmosphere and waiting for commands. It does this because it's powered by an on-board small nuclear reactor rather than combustible fuel of any kind. This means it can strike any target anywhere in the world, and it can arrive at a wildly unpredictable trajectory, it can maneuver and evade all anti-air defense systems, and it's "stealth" by nature, meaning it's almost impossible to track with radar.

All western anti-air defenses are now utterly obsolete, including those protecting Israel. (Not that the Iron Dome worked very well to begin with...)

This is on top of the Oreshnik missile system that Russia already deployed and has moved into mass production. It can strike any target with a NON-NUCLEAR kinetic strike at extremely high velocity (something approaching Mach 20) with 36 independently maneuverable incoming "vehicles" made of special materials that nearly atomize whatever they strike on the ground. (It's all turned to fine dust powder.)

There is zero defense against Oreshnik. These missiles can take out U.S. aircraft carriers by punching holes all the way through them, from top to bottom. They can also obliterate deep underground bunkers.

The U.S. military, despite spending a trillion dollars a year (mostly on waste and fraud), has nothing that even come close.

It’s really embarrassing for the USA military. One Russian submarine a thousand kilometres away with Zircon hypersonic missiles can destroy a carrier battle group. One oreshnik can destroy a military base. Both will cause thousands of deaths. The only comparable response the USA has is a tactical nuke. They are losing the conventional arms race, instead of declaring a state of emergency and nationalising the corrupt military industries , they pretend and act like those missiles won’t make a difference.

I think Putin conducted the test and announced it to drive it into the thick skulls in Washington that there is no such thing as a contained winnable nuclear war.
In any nuclear exchange, the top 20 cities in the US will cease to exist. The Burevestnik is Putin's Thanos Snap.

The West should just face front and stop Bullying everyone, with Sanctions and Military intervention.
