Most probably a product of Nigerian Public University
Take note
Demilade: Obafemi Awolowo University

So before you compare OAU, ABU, UNN, UNILAG, UI, with Covenant University or Babcock, think twice.

grin grin grin

It's just like comparing UBA, Union Bank, and Access Bank with Jaiz bank simply because Jaiz bank is having a lot of traffic due to its appeal to a set of demography.
Nigerian universities don't award MD as a medical degree, read the post very carefully before you make any wrong assumptions their medical schools was clearly stated in that thread.

. Do you know how many years america has existed?

Nigeria will get there, years ago many Nigerians were coming back home to help develop the local entertainment/music industry. Banky w, dbanj, don jazzy that year.

The PDP years of borrowing TO PAY SALARY and Buhari's dumb leadership pulled us back. I think we are on the right track of development currently, barring ungorseen circumstances.
How much did PDP borrow when petrol was subsidised for N87 and dollar was N200 with N18,000 minimum wage?

Who made Buhari president, four years after calling him expired? Could it be Tinubu?

Tinubu went further to say Nigerians would defy the acute fuel scarcity at the time and trek to cast their votes.

“The great Nigerian youths, the great Nigerian students, the confident Nigerian youths. This is a revolution. This election is a revolution. They are plotting, but they will fail. They said fuel price will increase and reach N200/N500 per litre. Go and relax, we will crash the prices,” he had said.

he had said in the 7th minute of the video.

Petrol should never cost more than N70 per litre, says APC

January 19, 2015

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has described as mere tokenism the reduction of petrol price from N97 to N87 per litre, saying the petroleum product ordinarily should sell for N70.

On Sunday, the federal government announced the reduction of petrol price, citing the fall of global crude oil price.

But the APC through Lai Mohammed, its spokesman, on Monday accused the government of making a show out of deceit, saying “a 10.3 per cent slash in the price of petrol was a mere tokenism at a time the price of crude oil has crashed by about 60 per cent”.

It argued that the pump price of a litre of petrol should not be more than 70 Naira, alleging that at N87 per litre, the government was forcing Nigerians to subsidise the massive corruption in the oil sector by N17 for every litre of fuel.

Buhari’ll reduce petrol to N40/L —David-West

FORMER Minister of Petroleum and Energy, Prof. Tamunoemi David-West, said that Nigerians should expect sharp drop in petrol price from the current N87 to about N40 per litre, saying, “the president-elect, Gen. Mohammed Buhari, will reduce the fuel pump price to N40 per litre.”

Hmmmmmmm, this saddles my heart to see them doing great in another country! I am very sure these guys would have won so many grants and awards from the US government to ensure they remain, we really need to wake up in this country, I keep on wondering why we do not hear about ground breaking research and grants from our institutions, for instance most PhD programs in South Africa are fully funded, same can’t be said for our country.

It is well o, anyways I can’t wait to join University of Iowa soon to start my fully funded masters program grin kiss

There is something typically wrong with Nigerians.

There is that impulse to say what they don't know.

Do you even know what an MD is?

You mean you said this boldly: "Nigerian universities don't award MD as a medical degree..."

Their white colleagues are coming to Africa at least twice or thrice a year to engage in "doctors without borders" charity work, but this ones who only know themselves will rather stay put and form oga or madam because they are too Big for their own country of continent. African's are generally hard hearted people, they can never be charity minded like the Europeans or Asians a s that why they are backwards in everything.
There is nothing to celebrate here, nothing at all.

My dear brother, you can only speak for yourself o. I know many Nigerians who willingly threw Nigeria to the waste bin once the landed yonder. I personally know someone surnamed "Kekeh". For years I always wondered what Kekeh meant until it dawned on me that his name is Okeke, but the Uncle Tom of a fellow legally changed it to Kekeh when he became a citizen. Kelechi Okeke became Kelechi Kekeh.

Not everyone in the diaspora shares your nationalistic sentiments.

There is no brain drain in Nigeria. The country operates a system in which there is no accountability and no desire to excel. Everyone wants to collect salary for doing nothing. Give those knucklehead professors in our universities some grants for research, they use it to buy high priced SUVs.

Yeah, but that doesn't mean we can't adopt their standards here. If Nigeria had a robust system of governance, some of those who leave might have been inspired to come and contribute, or at least train more Nigerians to fill the gap. But as it stands, we know that once someone leaves, they rarely come back.

Will you come back for less pay and more work?

Even the Uk and European countries are loosing doctors to Canada and Australia, its a major item in the news and I have meet some of this Drs.

The US as the worlds defacto headquarters is the Number 1 harvester of talents , so literarily the best brains from every country in the World moves to the US. The R&grin budget available in the US is probably as much as the rest of the world joined together, so it is no surprise that ambitious and capable people go there.

On a side note, the money the US has spent on the UKraine/Russia war will solve all of Nigeria's debt problem and leave some change for investment in our power sector.

So there are levels.

Just like many serious business man in Nigeria will move towards Lagos. Most exceptional professional in the world moves to the US.

We even joke about it in Canada, the best Canadians live in the US.

Very true. Every country experience migration but you can’t compare the rate of migration here to that of USA and I think the more we get a working government, the more the rate reduces. I’m more concerned in the reduction of migration than total restriction.
