Guys let's discuss our experiences with the just concluded aptitude test as it will help job seekers in the future to gain one or two insights on how HCP/Seplat conducts their recruitment.

For me, I was totally caught unawares by the questions because it wasn't what I was expecting based on the materials that we have seen, but I had to do the best that I can do hoping for the best. Like the last person mentioned here, one shouldn't rely on all this platforms selling past questions saying this and that repeat questions, just read as wide as you can, do your best and pray to God for favour. May God grant us success to the next stage.

There was intimidation in the accreditation hall prior to the exam. Right after the exam, A LOT of people were humbled. I saw people coming out of the exam hall with a long face. I said in my mind, "This is it, e enter" SEPLAT-HCP, Una try ooooo

Omo! That's serious o 😅. But on a serious note I want to ask a question o, is aptitude test the best way to recruit experienced hands for positions that require experience, I want to believe aptitude tests should be for graduate trainees with little or know experience in the field just academic qualifications.
My reason is that l, if you subject someone who has left school for 8 or more years to be solving one ratio, percentage work or answering one verbal reasoning stuff, you will end up recruiting mostly inexperienced hands. I think the best should have been a test that is job specific, I stand to be corrected sha

Aptitude test is a prerequisite for any standard company employment whether experienced or inexperienced hire positions.
If you had read my post above, you will understand that seplat as a company has an employee referral policy or program where it's employees refers individuals who they know are experienced in a job role , (you can Google seplat employee referral program) , this refered individuals are also meant to pass through the same aptitude test as you /we, but their score doesn't really stop them from being invited for the physical interview with others who applied online, it's at this point that those who referred those candidates makes sure that their candidates are hired, seplat even compensate those their employees for referring those the trust and are certain that they have the pre-required experience on the role. But with God everything is possible.Company like Nlng often advertise for trainee technician, without prior working experience and put them through an aptitude test, my friend scored high on the test and was further invited for an oral ,after which he was told by one of the interviewers that he's an ideal candidate, but later he wasn't contacted by Nlng. So in summary, the recruitment process in our dear country is just like the election process, but we keep trying.

I disagree with you. Skill test are for experience hire not aptitude test. Aptitude test are for freshers. Last year/ this year, chevron advertised for experience position and all the test were skill test based on the field you applied for, TotalEnergies did the same thing and the test was skill test base on the field you applied for. Savannah Energy did the same thing and it was skill test base on the field you applied for. For experienced hire, you won't get the best hand with aptitude test

My brother. What you need to understand is that the first test to take in experience hire in any of these recruitment process is Aptitude Test. Seconded by Skill test base on your field of study. Last year Chevron conducted Skill test after the aptitude test for Experience Hire. You can confirm it.

They just responded to me now that they will have HCP get in touch with me with a new date to take the test.

In the context of Savannah Energy's career portal, the status "Requisition Closed" indicates that the company is no longer actively considering candidates for the position. This could mean several things:

I was invited for 5 positions to write the test, 4 were the same user name and password then one was a different username and password, all at the same time.

What's the update on this? I've tried contacting them no response.

Immediately, my time elapsed after taking the one with the same username. I started the other one with a different username, and it had the same questions, so I cooled down and ticked the numerical I remembered correctly, and equally read the verbal passages and analytical questions well before answering them.
