Get it here. Please fill the information from the details in your birth certificate. Eg don't say you were born in Ikeja when you were born in umuahia

Pls note your names on the attestation from NPC must be the same as on your NIN.

My passport isn't ready since June. I go to the Alausa passport office every two weeks since August and is same story everytime. "Not Ready"

They refused to capture me demanding for 5k
They gave me my file back that I must pay 5k for logistics.... Please does any one have any number I can call and report this..

Hi everyone, I applied for my passport since July at the London embassy online, and did biometrics with the app on September 22nd. I have been waiting for my passport since then; it had been stuck in "passport production in progress" for about 4 weeks. I went to the embassy on Monday, and the man in charge of collection told me I would get it within the week, as there was an issue and he had resolved it. I think he just said that to dismiss me because, up until today, I haven't gotten it and am unable to track the delivery envelope with Royal Mail. Yesterday I emailed them and tried to call, but no response. I also noticed that when I tried to track the status of my application, it went back to application received. Please, what is happening? Has anyone experienced this before? I need the passport urgently, so I am planning to visit the embassy again on Monday.

Good morning all, pls I did my biometrics on the 15th of September 2025 and I am yet to get a mail from them that my passport is ready for collection. I just want to ask from those that have done it themselves, after capturing, how long did it take for you to get the passport.

Note: I did my capturing in Port Harcourt

Find a white background (wall, curtain, block , ceiling etc) and try and take the photo with light on.

Try and stay away from the light rays directing towards you. Also try and do it close to windows so that natural light will help counterbalance the light in the room.

Do it during day time. if not working , try do it at night around 7pm - 9pm with the room fully illuminated (and lieing on bed while trying to get the capture...the bedsheet will be your background colour )

I did this and it worked but NPC rejected my application saying there was somethings required in the affidavit that I didn't add . Do you have any idea

what exactly are you modifying in NPC?
or is it just the birth certificate/attestation you just wish to get?

And can you give little information on what you have in your affidavit? (the exact wording while removing your personal data on it...
this will give an idea of what could actually be missing in the affidavit)

I "My mother's name" adult female, business woman, Christian citizen of the federal republic of Nigeria of "Address" do hereby make oath and declare as follows

- That I am the deponent herein and here by make this affidavit in good faith
- That "My name" is my son
- That the said " My name" was born on "My date of birth" in "My state"
- That at the time "My name" was born there was no birth registry at the aforementioned place where the said birth could have been officially registered hence the affidavit
- That this affidavit is now made for record and official purposes.

Went for capturing today at the Alimosho office as per appointment date, got there around 8:41 am, put down my name for attendance then approached the security guy.

He’ll first ask you if you have an agent doing it for you or you register online, if you’re using an agent, he’ll ask you to call him/her, if DIY like myself, he’ll check if your status is vetted and direct you to Servicom.

He asked if my status is vetted, which it is, then marched me to Servicom room for documents check.
I had a little delay here as I don’t have the paper copy of my original documents ( indigenship and Date of Birth) certificate. I was later certified and my documents stamped after showing them on my phone.

Priority was given to ‘Vetted’ status documents first and those with ‘Waiting for approval’ was later marched to Servicom room for manual vetting.

There was a mammoth crowd due to people that had been appointed last week Friday which happened to be an holiday.

Their Boss (a woman in her fifties) later come to talk to us that those that had their appointment today will be given priority as only them the system can identify and will have to sort out those that had been booked for last week Friday.

Done with capturing within 10mins.

Despite heavy bribing and money exchanging hands from agents, team DIY are completely safe once your status is vetted and documents presented.
Nobody will disturb, delay or ask you for any bribe/money.

Documents took along;

Vetted passport application
Appointment slip
Payment receipt
Indigenship certificate
Date of Birth certificate

Team DIY for life… ❤️

I have similar problem too. In fact mine is more complicated than yours. Let me know if you find solution, especially about your BVN

As mentioned already, the information (Name and DOB) on the NIN must match what's on the passport.

For DIY, can someone please tell me how much it cost to change name due to marriage? Same price with all other passports renewal. 10yrs 200k naira
Also, will the new passport come with a new expiry date?Yes
Also, can I change from 5 years to 10 years while processing the change of name? Yes
