Tribalism remains one of the biggest obstacles to this country’s progress. It fuels bad governance, corruption, and nepotism. There should be a law that penalizes every act of tribalism just like the recent Bokku advert and similar cases.

There was a time .. in my state, if you go to market to buy grains for example rice, beans or garri , in cups.. You may have bought 10 cups only to return home to find out what you actually have is less than 10 cups. .. be sure you bought it at an Igbo store and the trader played that cheap sharp trick on you.

What they do: They will swiftly use the measuring cup and be scooping the grains into the nylon bag, counting 1,2,3... And while you look on or away, a little distracted, unsuspecting, they will turn the back of the cup , scoop "nothing" and put it in your nylon.. 4,5.. then add the real 6,7.. another fake scoop 8... And so on.

E go be you like film tricks.
But that's the Igbo trader for you.
Igbos are always ready to cheat you to make the smallest profit.

In as much as the lady has apologised due to social media pressure, she didn't lie.

Igbos cheat too much .. they are cunny and dubious in the name of business.

That's their nature.

I don't know when we have deteriorated to this level as a nation that simple banters we used to laugh to are now see as national issues. I remember when we used to yab ourselves with the tribe you come from and everyone will just laugh at you even your family members if you can't do a comeback but now everything is taken as tribal war. May God help us as a nation.
It is Bola Tinubu that caused it.

Bola Tinubu in his desperate effort to hold Lagos state on ransom invented the new tribal politics targeted at Igbos which Yorubas fell for while thinking they are doing a great thing. Time will tell.

Bola Tinubu is the problem and it became more visible after Peter Obi defeated Tinubu in Lagos and in the general election which Tinubu used INEC to snatch from Obi yet he refused to rest and allow Nigeria witness peace and unity, God and nature will shock him and his followers in ways they will never understand, watch and see, time will settle this unjust hatred and attacks on Igbo people

Who will make the law? The Yoruba President that is sponsoring and pushing out the tribalism for his selfish political ambition which his people are sheepishly falling for?

The advert is correct and we are standing by Bokkumart. Igbo call others all sorts of names, they call Huasa aboki and look down on others, but they can't take half of what they dish out to others.
From now on, I'm only buying from Bokkumart, forget Ebano and Blenco. Enough of this charade.

Let's see who will cry first,

I wonder how you must be feeling, considering you vigorously campaigned for the APC ten years ago.

Life is so interesting...

Oil and Gas are in the south south zone, not in the south east. We’ll continue to emphatically correct LIES and MISINFORMATION. The South East is the poorest area of Nigeria despite all the shoulder carrying posture. Rich people don’t leave their homeland in large numbers to seek refuge elsewhere.
There is oil in Anambra and Imo states. Imo has one of the highest gas deposits in Nigeria. The southeast has one of the lowest poverty rates in the country. For a people and region that faced war with limited financial assistance compared to the Germans and Japanese, that is a phenomenal comeback.

Stop lying in public. It does you no good.

You lied about this.
Only your tribe has that unbridled hatred towards other ethnic groups and that has been the factor of your unity. After scrutinizing the land of the rising sun, I came to a vivid conclusion that you people don't really like yourselves
grin don’t mind those clowns…people that play the worst form of tribalism, they even segregate amongst themselves with the Osu caste system and also their wawa nonsense……bunch of hypocrites🤣🤣

Let those that want to be used by politicians continue to be used. I didn't even know about this Bokku issue until I came online because offline, they are still running their business without interruption. I will continue to patronise Bokku for groceries, Ndubuisi for my foodstuff and palmoil, and the nameless Yoruba woman selling vegetables in my neighbourhood for my tomatoes and pepper. Sanni is my go to abokina for small groceries and cucumber.

Nobody can use my head for anything. If I stop patronizing a seller, I will stop based on the quality of their services and not their ethnic group. Social media has become a tool of divisive rhetoric and I choose not be influenced.

There's nothing like south south geographically.
Even after the balkanization of the Eastern region, the southeast as at today officially has 3 oil producing states. So stop being ignorant by saying there's no oil in the southeast.

You see thos dangerous level of tribalism you people are doing, the day you will set Nigeria on fire just know that you cannot escape and Nairaland has your full details and as such if an investigation arises you cannot escape it.
Continue promoting tribalism online because of a politician that doesn't even acknowledge your existence your eye will clear when they put under the bus to save their own skin.

Until your eye will clear. Go and ask your grandfather's in 1993 during the height of June 12 igbo left Lagos in droves and commodities became scarce it took Col Oyinlola and Oba Oyekan of blessed memory to provide assurances before they came back. Continue pushing that tribal agenda una eye go soon clear.

If you check who started all this. It is these APC guys that started all this tribalism at dangerous levels. They now took it as an us versus them thing. Going as far as even renaming igbo streets just to push that agenda. As trivial as that comment in the Ad can be these same yoruba tribalists will push that narrative to dangerous levels.
