Is this a joke ,2010 is a very long time na..the girl is now 27 ...though child molestation is a very big offence but such should be reported immediately and certainly not 15years ...this makes the case more complicated..it might be perceived as witch-hunt for disciplining the lady when she was still very young.or a case of karma knocking on the doorstep of a perverted soul

The girl stated that the pastor beat her when she performed bad in her academic. Her parents bought her to the pasties house to leave cos of her poor academic performance.

I am not saying the man might not have molested her sexually but this cld also be framed for the beating the man gave her for her poor academic performance.

And 15 yrs too long nau. Why wait till after 15yrs.

It's a crime if he did it, but I think the pastor doesn't have level. They will attach emotions to this case instead of real and concrete evidence, and the corrupt judges we have in Nigeria will use the case to redeem their image by nailing the man. He has even awarded 50k with just only mouth testimony of an assumed issue of 15 years ago with no concrete evidence.

If the said girl ever experienced what she is narrating while living at the pastor`s house, then the parents shoud take a chunk of the blame for

being so neligent and declaring themselves incapable of bringing up ther child.

I was sitting in the midst of two people yesterday, arguing about marriage life. One was trying to back up his claims with the Bible, the other was balancing Bible and Quran because her father is a Muslim and she is a Christian. I was just watching because they don't even know that I am neither a Christian nor a Muslim.

The lady's marriage has collapsed after a dozen years in marriage. She said that about 6 people told her that she was the man's missing ribs before they got married. About 3 pastors told her that they are fit for each other. Someone even checked from traditional worshippers to claim same. Even some Muslim clerics said same. But the marriage failed, even despite how she tried to make it work by pleasing the man in every way.

The other man, a Christian was bitterly complaining how his wife would never listen to him. He was quoting Bible to say that wife has to be submissive. Wife has to respect their husbands.

I was just laughing inside my mind.
First, religion doesn't keep marriage, the couples do. They must be in agreement. They must be playing mates. They must try to elevate each other. One must not look down on the other.

That's how mine is working. Whatever I'm doing, I want my wife to also get to that height. Then we always reiterate our goal. We don't use Bible or Quran to build our relationship. We don't ask pastors for advice.

Pastors are there most of the times to ruin marriages rather than building it. We can see them manifesting here and there.

Try always dialoguing with your wife or husband instead of taking your matters to pastors or imam or traditionalists. It works good. But if two people cannot agree to the point that they have to start fighting physically, abeg call it quit before you become late.

That's why I love the northern part of Nigeria penal code that is different from the southern criminal code of the south. According to the penal code having sex with a girl of 14 years and above isn't a crime. The Child right acts of 18 years only work in the south because no northern governor including Abuja that has agreed to sign it! Lawyers in the house can confirm. As for me, I can't ever live in the south. Am not a pedophile oh but I just don't like the criminal code of justice!

Your narration has just shown your personal frustration and grudge against Christianity. How has your experience of one incident proven that it happens to all christian pastors or christians? There are plenty of pastors around that married to their only one wife individually more than 50years ago and above you never seen them as good pastors to emulate, but you are using one incident to vomit your reserved and age-long piled up hatred against Christianity and pastors.

Now, you shut yourself in the leg in your narration, pastors, traditionalists and Islamic clerics also confirmed as some told her. I don't want want to insinuate she went there or still believe in other diabolic practices. I will not change your narration that other faith clerics confirmed same to her and not that she went there for confirmation herself. But truly and sadly as it is, even if God confirmed the man to be the husband, does that mean she must be reckless and has no role to play?

Does she expect not to have different challenges in marriage that she needed to endure? So, because there is a challenge in her marriage means God should be blamed, right? Either of the two or both are immature in Christianity and in following bible principles as guide. It has nothing to do with weather God confirmed their marriage or not.

God confirmed it has nothing to do with their reckless handling of their marital challenges. Despite God told Abraham, father of faith in the bible he would be blessed, great and be father of nations, did that keep him from facing his personal struggle of life as human and even childless till old age?

Did his personal struggle and challenge of life proven God didn't exist to him? Did God not do what he promised him at the end of the day? Because you are atheist and they have personal struggle of life in marriage which can happen to anybody irrespective of religion, has that become your metrics or yardstick to prove to prove their is no God?

Psalm 14:1 and Psalm 53:1 say, "The fool says in his heart, 'There is no God.'". In other words, the atheist is a fool from a biblical standpoint, so never expect him to offer solution to a marriage, but rather cause more confusion to the couple where there is none. Instead of him to offer solution, he offered confusion and wanted either side to become foolish like him not to believe God exists as if that is a criteria of perfect marriage. The husband and wife in your reference should wise up and face their personal struggle of life, it has nothing to do with weather God confirmed their marriage or not. It is their fault and not God.

You don't need to hide under what happened many years ago (10- 20years) which has not be proven yet to the court by the lady to now insult Christians. The narration here said the lady is now 27years old,and the incident happened in 2010 when she was 8years. But actually, if it happens in 2010, 15 years + 8yrs is not yet adding up to 27 yrs now.

So, you have to wait and let the lady even proved it. With this inconsistency in reportage, how are we sure the lady doesn't have other intrinsic things different from what she puts here especially as she said after she learnt (hearsay) not that she goes to that church now ? There maybe more things she has in mind true or false, we should let her land first even if you want to throw stone to this pastor in the picture. This is not current issue, but several years ago when they were both less mature mentally than now.

So, give them time to land first, don't hide under this at this premature stage to now force atheism to our throats so we can also become fools according to the Bible verse quoted above
