Deputy Speaker, DG SMEDAN, Actor Uzee Usman, Stella Okotete, Others to Speak at Skyewise Foundation's ‘Meet The CEOs’ 5.0

Notable personalities are expected to grace the upcoming business and mentorship roundtable, Meet The CEOs, being organized by the Skyewise Foundation, a platform reputed for raising young individuals to be self reliance and empowering emerging entrepreneurs.

The 5th edition of the programme, themed “The Modern Entrepreneur: Navigating an Evolving World,” is scheduled to hold at the Shehu Musa Yar’Adua Centre, Wuse, Abuja.

Among the dignitaries expected at the event are the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kalu; the Director General of the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN), Dr. Charles Odii; renowned Nollywood actor and filmmaker, Uzee Usman; and former Executive Director at NEXIM Bank, Stella Okotete, among others.

Speaking ahead of the event, the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Skyewise Group and President of the Skyewise Foundation, Dr. Elvis Abuyere, said the Meet The CEOs initiative was conceived to bridge the gap between aspiring entrepreneurs and successful business leaders through mentorship, guidance, and collaboration.

“At Skyewise Foundation, we believe that mentorship and exposure to successful minds are vital ingredients in building sustainable businesses,” Abuyere said.

He continued, “This edition of Meet The CEOs will help young entrepreneurs learn practical strategies for thriving in an ever-evolving business environment. We are bringing together leaders who have demonstrated excellence in governance, innovation, and enterprise development to share their journeys and inspire the next generation for free.

Dr. Abuyere noted that the event would not only provide a platform for mentorship but also foster partnerships, investment opportunities, and networking that could lead to business expansion.

He added that previous editions of Meet The CEOs had recorded remarkable impact, including the empowerment of seven young entrepreneurs with millions of Naira to scale up their ventures.

“Our goal remains to nurture business minds, strengthen Nigeria’s entrepreneurial ecosystem, and ensure that every young person with a dream finds a pathway to success,” he stated.

The Meet The CEOs 5.0 event promises to be an engaging experience for entrepreneurs, policymakers, investors, and professionals seeking to navigate modern business challenges and opportunities for national economic transformation.

Thank you! Nigerians like playing to the Gallery.

Now, if only you are opportune to know how much was appropriated for this nonsense, you will scream. Some of those funds are already being diverted to personal accounts.

Instead of holding talk shows, create an enabling environment for small businesses to thrive. SME's deserve tax waivers too.

Enact laws that restricts big companies from engaging in some businessess.

Who else noticed that since the big telecommunications companies and banks started selling recharge card and data, our young girls have abandoned the trade and jumped to hook-up.

If we must succeed, we must create an enabling environment for small businesses to thrive. They are the drivers of the economy.

I know the Government will read my post, just like they did in the case of the presidential pardon and other topics.

This is also a call of caution to Nairalanders, do not underestimate this platform.
