Oh ok thank you, yes oh. I got my welcome letter December 2024 and dqed April 2025 and interview letter Oct 2025. The IV scheduling status tool is in January 2025 they are moving fast this year!

I will have layover at Heathrow, Do I need to get transit visa to enter Heathrow? Or I'm going to get it at Heathrow?

I don't think you need one otherwise your airline would have informed you. I feel you are good to go as long as you are within the airport premises and not try to step into the city..

I had 2 layovers on my flight to Atlanta and I didn't even know a transit Visa existed at the time.

After your check-in in Lagos, you will get your luggage at the final destination (New York). You don't need to do anything during transit, except otherwise stated in the flight itinerary or you will be changing airport in London.

You won't see your luggage again till you land. They will transfer it to the next flight themselves. They have every luggage tagged and they know which luggage is which.

Don't worry your luggage will land safely with you. But on some very rare occasions, you might arrive before your luggage, but that notwithstanding, your luggage will eventually arrive at the same destination as you.

My Oga , dna results came in positive at 99.9999%… I went for another medicals and was asked to drop my passport at OIS office. I’ve done that , patiently waiting for pickup mail.

Thanks for this, was the 1040 refused because it wasn’t accompanied with the relevant W2 or they just rejected it outright and requested for the transcript? Cos I’m in a similar boat and nothing was mentioned during the document review.

No they don't.

But they will definitely check the social media post of the account you put during your DS260 filing. Mostly Facebook/Instagram accounts

It went well. Didn't spend up to 5 minutes. Interviewer confirmed I had done DNA during USCIS process, then returned my documents. Asked routine questions like if I or my wife have been previously married, any issues with law enforcement or immigration, have we lived outside the country before and are the kids our biological children. He confirmed our financial sponsors made enough to cover us and asked who lives with my mum. That was all. Kept our passports and by the next day the status had changed to issued. Was at OIS before the end of the week and we scheduled free pickup for the following week.

I checked the ceac site yesterday (Friday) and I saw “issued”… how long does it take to get a pickup message from OIS ?!

It typically takes from 3 to 10 business days, but could take up to 14 days on some rare occasions.

Since your status has changed to issued on CEAC, I suggest you keep checking your status on OIS to know if your passport/visa is ready for pickup.

Hi guys going from Lagos - Heathrow - New York - Washington, I'm already at Heathrow waiting for my 2pm flight, av already checked in my Luggage at New Lagos terminal.
But I av a question.
1. I'm I going to check out at JFK and carry my Luggage there and board the local flight going to Washington. OR
2. It is Washington I'm going to see immigration and check out my Luggage

If Washington is your final destination on your flight ticket, your number 2 question is correct. You will see your luggage in Washington.

Migration unko? I used British Airways to book everything but the flight from New York to Washington is American Airlines but Operated by BA too.
