As it's common with them,they always like to change history to suit their narratives.Even the NADECO they made so much noise about,was a coalition of democrats and the real founding fathers,who fought on ground and not jumping into one boat and taking the 'NADECO route' through cotonou and start making noise outside the country. You have no idea about how many people like Rufai that was dreaming of becoming a minister or hold political position had Peter Obi won in the last election. Even the owner of this forum had some kind of appointments expectations in the last election .

It seems there's an unwritten code for journalists generally not to say anything directly negative about the president
Rufai mentioned it like a threat. Abati cautioned him like a call to order and Rufai obliged the caution
That sequence shows that what Rufai did was out of bounds normally
Or what's the threat in saying you'll criticize the president? Is that not part of your right as a citizen and part of your responsibility as a journalist

An anchor man who is supposed to be neutral, will be totally bias against govt, Anyway, Abati has been in govt and politics, he knows how powerful president can be and how dangerous politicians are.
